I never get the point of having divisions. It is not like the nfl where if you win your division you clinch a playoff berth.

Seriously? I thought it was whichever top 8 teams with the best record in the conference go to the playoffs. I guess I learned something new today

Yeah they recently changed it a couple years ago but I agree I think it should be the top 8 teams with the best record

It's generally reflective of the best teams in the west; unless a division is THAT bad. But yea, division winners are guaranteed a top 4 seed...though I don't think they're guaranteed home court if their record is worse...so I don't even know why it matters haha. Matchups I guess. :hmm:

Division winner guaranteed no less than 4th seed in the playoffs regardless of their record.

1st round home team is based on seeding.
The rest are based on record.

Feel free to correct me if things have changed.

I have heard that Atlanta, even though they have the number 5 seed, may have HCA against the Celtics because of better record

Put a cardboard cut out of Bynum
Under Rim for next practice.

It will still block half the shots… The guy is intimidating Nuggets.

An example of when you don't want to make the Playoffs better to get a lottery pick and improve then get spanked hard on a national tv game huh? But pretty real responses esp considering most fans are delusional
