would you trade this kobe for a younger more youthful kobe considering the make-up of this team who would you take. there are obvious pros and cons to each of them.

That's a tough one, but I'll take the mature Kobe. He finally knows how to be a leader, but damn, the 23-year old Kobe was a killer.

That makes we get 7 more years of Kobe -- so of course I would!

well the pros and cons are ridiculous between the 2

with young kobe you got athleticism through the roof, a enormous chip on his shoulder

with old kobe you got more experience and strong leadership

its a tough one

but Kam is right 7 more years of kobe is pretty enticing

Oh, I thought a trade for just like one season. In that case, I'd get the 23 year-old Kobe.

What about 24-year old Kobe? I'd probably take him at 23 years old too.

Also had a cutthroat mentality, played better D, and was waaaaaay more athletic

That is a hard one, but more time with Kobe trumps anything else. There is still a lot of leadership to stabilize the team.

I'd rather trade Jordan Farmar and Sasha Vujacic for Devin Harris

For one season, the Kobe now but if you mean who would you take for the franchise it would easily be the 23 year old Kobe.

I don't think the intent of the question can really be simply about getting 7 more years of Kobe. Then, that's a no-brainer.

From a 1-season perspective, I'm happy with the Kobe we have.

We have plenty of youth on this team.

For one year, 30 year Kobe. For his whole career. 23 year Kobe because he would last longer.
