Byron Scott found a report emanating from Dallas about the Mavericks trying to acquire Chris Paul via trade this summer laughable.

"There's no scenario that's going to make that happen," Scott said. Scott even joked that the rumor sounds "real genius like."

"I mean a small market and you are going to trade away your best commodity. No offense to (New Orleans) Mayor Ray Nagin, I think Chris could run for mayor and win in New Orleans - he's that popular.''
