Farmer will make all of you eat those words. Lets look at career stats and career highs. i Like brown and I think he can help the team, but Farmer could start for this team RIGHT NOW, if Fisher went down with an injury and brown couldnt at THIS point. Dont get me wrong, jordan is playing as bas as he has ever played while in a Laker uniform, but we could have said that about kobe for a seven game strecth, or sasha this year, or some of the down strecthches lamar goes on. bottom line is larry brown who loves defenders didnt mind getting rid of the guy, and for reasons we have yet to see, but I have no doubt we will soon see
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Brown kind of reminds me of Ariza when we brought him in, athletic and a good defender, hopefully he can develop other parts to his game like Ariza did. And anyone > Jordan at this point.

Shannon is definitely playing better than what most were expecting from the trade. I like that Phil is slowly trusting him with more minutes. If he can handle the fast guards, why not sacrifice some of Farmar's playing time?

If we play Utah in the 1st or 2nd round we'll need Brown to guard D-Will when Fish gets in foul trouble etc. last year D-Will lit Jordan Farmar up everytime.

All Farmar has been doin lately is being a turnover machine and chucking up shots.. I'd rather have Brown, he can knock down his shots, shoot FTs great, creative, fast, athletic, and he can defend

I'd plow Vanessa Bryant.

Why can't Brown keep a job? Uh, maybe because he hasn't had the chance to shine anywhere yet? Charlotte's guard rotation was already set with Augustin, Felton and Bell taking up the majority of the minutes, he was a journeyman at Cleveland, Chicago and Seattle for a short time. This is his first major opportunity in the league.

Farmar has sucked ever since coming back from his injury save for a handful (4 at most) of games. He doesn't deserve his minutes right now if all he's going to do is turn the ball over, settle for jumpshots, and yell at his teammates whenever he screws up.

When the trade went down, I was more intrigued about Brown than I was about Morrison. It's nice to have a point guard who can defend.
