After finding out that Phil Jackson will miss the Portland game, due to health reasons, KLAC was asking who will be the next choice to take over the head coaching job of our beloved Lakers when Phil leaves. WELL...........

I think B. Scott would be the ideal choice.

BUT if Phil leaves after this season, I really think we should make a run at Tom Thibodeau.

If we win it all this season (which we will), Phil isn't going to leave.

Tommy the Clown will never work for this franchise, and I wouldnt accept him. Pop wouldnt be a bad choice but it still wouldnt feel right. I think Kurt would be great or possibly , if we were going for an outsider, Jeff Van Gundy, it would be a far cry from Showtime, but his news conferences would be worth the price of admission
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Our team is so good that I believe we can make any average coach look great, so I'm not worried about who our coach is. I'd like JVG though, that would be great.

Probably some random coach, don't care about it.. I'm sure Phil's gonna retire the moment Kobe does.

I'd plow Vanessa Bryant.
