We need Trevor at the starting SF. Lamar's scoring and energy + Luke's passing and IQ will revive the Bench Mob 4 sure. And if Sasha and Shannon continue to contribute like in the game at Sacramento, will be OK :)

As of now, I probably might want Bynum benched so nothing happens to that knee. But later on yea I would like Bynum, Ariza, Fisher, Gasol and Kobe.

I want to see what an Ariza, Kobe, Pau, Fisher, Bynum line up can do at this stage. On paper I would say this is the best starting line up in the NBA. But maybe having too much talent on the floor could be a bad thing...

if it doesn't work then send Ariza back to the bench mob and put in Walton. He's been doing well enough lately.
"If you could stop all the players that get publicized and all the players that the NBA likes and all the players, you know, the players that win the MVP's, you know, for their offense. And some of them, you know, play pretty good defense too. But some of them, you know, they like "this guy he can shoot, he can score, he can dunk." and I want to be the one to stop all those guys, you know, and just kinda spoil the whole party." - Ron Artest

Fisher/Farmar
Kobe/Sasha
Ariza/Walton
Gasol/Lamar/Powell
Bynum/Gasol

Even though I think Shannon should get some of Sasha's minutes this is how the main rotation will go.

part of me still wants

andrew
gasol
lamar
kobe
fish

but the truth is we need lamar back on the bench so we can run up tempo ball with him rebounding and pushing the ball up the court so farmar and sasha can get easy shots

also we haven't ran the big line-up since the preseason so now wouldn't be the best time to experiment

Standard fare for me:

C - Bynum > Mbenga
PF - Gasol > Odom > Powell
SF - Ariza > Walton
SG - Bryant > (split between) Vujacic & Brown
PG - Fisher > Farmar

but heres the thing would ariza be better back on the bench with odom there and the up tempo system or is it better for the second unit to have 2 distributors

i don't know phil will make a call whether its right or not we will see

i just don't want lamar's shot to stop falling once he hits the bench because hes been shooting lights out and we need that

At the end of games, I would like to see this defensive lineup:

Brown
Bryant
Ariza
Pau
Bynum

Brown over Fish?

I know Fish has his moments but still

I'm all for giving more minutes to Brown but not sure if we should trust him this quick at the end of games

I like Fisher at the end of the games too, I guess i would have Shannon in there only if there was a very quick small guard in there.

so do i especially with lamar playing better and shooting from outside better. and phil has said with bynum and gasol he wants someone out there as a glue guy before bynums injury which was why vlad got benched in favor of luke

lamar is our 2nd best distributor and 3rd best man defender behind kobe and trevor so he would be great at the SF in the starting line-up

the issue is our 2nd unit continues to struggle and the truth is lamar on the second unit if he plays aggressive like he has been playing would start to extend leads rather than lose them

you have lamar and luke out there that gives the second unit 3 options with gasol or bynum whoever is in there to dump it into the post while lamar gives them a rebounder that can ignite the fastbreak meaning easier shots for jordan and sasha

i starting unit isn't the issue so making it super stacked doesn't help us as much as filtering some talent down to the second unit does.

I like Fisher at the end of the games too, I guess i would have Shannon in there only if there was a very quick small guard in there.

depends what type of situation but with brown emerging and phil still playing jordan fish has gotten almost no minutes in the 2nd quarter for a month now

i trust fisher in closing minutes defensively and offensively. we saw what happens with inexperience in late situations with trevor i don't want that in the playoffs

Big is a fun experiment, but I can't see enough room for all 3 to operate successfully in the paint.

Ariza needs to remain a starter in order to maintain defensive strength with the starters.

With Odom on the bench, the bench will gain their playmaker back and be able to get back in rhythm in regards to shooting. Odom's outside shooting is the least of the concerns with him on the bench. Sasha, Jordan, etc. will fall back into line with Odom running the show and able to keep the boards under watch down low. The fading back of Farmar and Vujacic into the paint will not be needed as much and will allow them to get back to their perimeter driven game where they excel.

But honestly, this lineup is so versatile, so talented that the combinations of lineups are almost endless with virtually every one able to be highly effective.
