It depends. If were talking chauncey billups finals MVP compared to kobe MVP then I'll take season. If were talking steve nash MVP compared to Magic finals MVP then I'll take finals.

Season MVP holds more weight, but I would rather have a Finals MVP. You play to win the championship.

Well, Finals MVP (besides 1 time) means you won a championship....
Season MVP is probably harder to accomplish b/c you have to consistently be great for an entire season.

It really depends...Season is 82 games, longer span, everything falls into place right up till the final game. Finals, it's where Legends are reportedly born, where the mvp brings his team to succession leading to the eventual championship trophy. It really depends, I can't bring myself to vote for either since both has its most powerful meaning.

It's really kind of a case by case situation but as far as what would be more desirable, this one HAS to go to finals MVP just because it means your at least in the finals and most likely won (besides the 1 time jerry west got it on the losing team).It really depends...Season is 82 games, longer span, everything falls into place right up till the final game. Where's the option for All-Star MVP? 
Anyway, I'll have to go with the regular season MVP because you have to be more consistent throughout the season to achieve that award. But it wouldn't hurt to have the Finals MVP either. :lol:

The season MVP is a better individual acheivment.
The Finals MVP is a better TEAM acheivment.
Most League MVP's don't go on to win the Finals MVP as well. I'd rather have the Finals MVP because it would mean I've definitely won a ring.

I'd take Finals MVP because it comes with a chamionship 99% of the time
