The other scenario you hear most often is James recruiting Joe Johnson to play with him in Cleveland. The Cavs have managed their cap nicely as well, and that's probably one big reason they didn't move Wally Szczerbiak when everyone expected them to in February. They have a real chance to create a dynasty around James like the Bulls did around Jordan with ample cap room in 2010. That's the big reason most expect James to stay with the Cavs. Jason Kidd, who had 20 assists Sunday in helping put the Suns out of their playoff misery, already is lobbying to play with James, even in a backup role.

Johnson, meanwhile, would be a major weapon. Many still point to his free agency departure as the reason the Suns never were able to take that next step to true championship contender. Johnson is not talked about like James, Wade and Bosh. But he may be the surprise prize of that class.

joe IMO is the perfect compliment to james not a post player or a ball dominant PG

james needs a sharp shooter who can creat for himself and others when james is out of the game

i think Joe would make them scary and possibly dominant

Joe should stay in Atlanta and help elevate the Hawks to contender status.

They aren't that far away.

Terrible combo. They both need the ball to be effective. Why would JJ leave the Hawks to play with LeBron? He left the Suns b/c he wanted to be the man, you think he'd be the man in Cleveland?

Exactly. Joe Johnson wasn't effective in Phoenix because he barely got any touches because of Amare, Marion, and Nash leading the way over him. Johnson is only effective if he gets his share of shots and 1on1 possessions which will not happen in Cleveland due to Mo Williams and LeBron.

the year nash was there joe averaged 17ppg shooting 47% from the field and 48% from 3 point land

so yes he can play off the ball and statistically is a better shooter off the ball. the only thing that goes down are his apg which wouldn't matter playing with lebron and mo

he would be dynamite playing with lebron and mo as a spot up shooter and could also run the team while they sat lebron

Joe Johnson should just stay in ATL. I like the idea of stars being more spread out around the league.

Must say a lot to his teammates that he is already trying to get other players to come to Cle. Way to be a leader Bron Bron.

LeBron never said 'ship his [expletive] out!'. Notice this is recruiting an addition, rather than ostracizing somebody who is currently on the team.

'Ship his [expletive] out!' I'll never forget those words everytime I see Bynum and Gasol (for we would have traded Kwame as well) dominate.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.
