This is why no team wants to trade with us anymore because we keep trying to rip them off.

Bibby makes his players better by shooting first and passing second?

He makes his players better by compromising the interior and perimeter defense from being easily screened out, a lack of lateral speed and an unwillingness to dip down low once his man his past him? Yeah Bibby doesn't make players around him better any more than any other typical point guard in the NBA. Over-hyped PG is Bibby's label from now until forever.

Not to mention his height doesn't warrant big money from a triangle running Phil Jackson led Laker team that likes its point guards of free agent / big salary status to be larger.

Bibby isn't the answer. When it comes to points in a Phil Jackson system think PG's that don't ahve to dominate the ball to be effective. Bibby needs the ball to do anything correctly.

PG isn't the glaring need next year, perimeter defense with size and the ability to drop down below the free throw line after getting screened out is.

Of those kinds of guards, there aren't many.

I can't think of an answer at this exact moment but Bibby and Kidd wouldn't be the answer.

Point guard and perimeter defense is extremely overrated in today's NBA. Due to hand checking rules, few PG's can stay in front of their own man.

As seen with dominant defensive teams such as Magic (Jameer), Houston (Alston for the past few years) and San Antonio (TP), PG defense is not too important. Big man defense, which we have in Bynum, is number one.

Bibby brings leadership, with his playoff experience. Bibby doesn't have to have the ball to dominate like you falsely claim. He shoots 40% from the 3 and can live perfectly fine as a spot up shooter. He's also great at initiating fast breaks. Sick of all those Fisher fast breaks where he ends up bricking the layup? That doesn't happen with Bibby.

With Bibby too, Fisher comes off the bench, and we prolong his career.

I don't see you offering a better alternate, because there is none. Ideally, we'd love somebody younger like Jarrett Jack, but his lack of 3 pt shot is disturbing.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

Farmar + Morrison is a nice package, I hope we use them and some picks to get a good nice PG like Sessions or Stuckey.
