You know, the way the Lakers are playing now makes it seem like they're any regular western conference contender. I've read things on this board about the Lakers having some kind of switch they can turn on if they want to play up to the level we've seen them play before and well, Dallas could have that same switch too. I know chances are veryyyy much slim to none that for some freak reason Dallas upsets LA to advance to the second round but more of my concern now is that the recent play of the Lakers has made it almost apparent to other teams on what they need to do to win over us.

Yea... the switch... Are we losing games on purpose? Why don't we turn on the switch every 4th qtr? Dumb Lakers.

Anyways Barea said something about how Dirk should have more MVP consideration than Kobe this year, and also that the Mavs will beat us in the playoffs to prove it.

Maybe the switch needs re-wiring.

Well, it's not like Dallas has a "switch" either... That team is filled with chokers, and they have lost their mojo since 2006...

I don't think they do either. Their fans might but I don't. I'm just saying Barrea has to be either real stupid or real confident in making this statement. Dallas chokes and we all know it but respect the team for what it can do and face them as a worthy opponent. We've gotten into games where we played a Sacramento, Memphis or Minnesota and taken them for granted.. some of those games ended up being pretty close. Although the Mavs aren't as bad as those teams, we can't lose our focus. Dallas has something to prove with the position they're in now. We do too but you can expect that if we draw Dallas in the first round they're gonna play their hearts out. They'll lose, but they'll defnitely come to play.
