The growing sense in Dallas is that there are only two threats to the Mavericks’ hopes of re-signing Jason Kidd this summer.

1. Kobe Bryant convincing big-guard-loving Phil Jackson and the Lakers to make a run at his dear friend Kidd with L.A.’s midlevel exception.

Lakers have enough scorers in the starting line up. They have guys who can rebound the ball in Pau and Lamar. Phil loves big guards. And Phil wants a passer/facilitator with the 1st unit. Jason is our man!

Fish = Sixth Man. And with Jordan, the way he's been playing lately. If he keeps it up, he's gonna be the 3rd string PG. But I think if Jason comes to the Lakers. Jason can take Jordan under his wing to help him become a better player.

Farmar goes and plays for another team. LA gets a real PG of the future.

Not going to happen.

I love Kidd, but not this current one. He's too slow, and that's our problem with Fisher right now.

He will play with the 2nd unit if he comes here, book it.

Sign Kidd for cheap and trade Farmar this summer. Would you rather have Kidd or Farmar running your offense?

How does it help the defense? Fisher can't stay in front of quicker point guards. We just got slower and older if this goes down (which it will not).

After sitting and watching Jordan screw up over and over last night, all I can say is, "Welcome Jason Kidd!"

THE ONLY THING THAT SUCKS ABOUT THE LAKERS ACQUIRING KIDD NEXT YEAR IS......ITS NOT UNTILL NEXT YEAR WHEN WE NEED HIM NOW.
