I don't think ANY of us here have seen Jerry play...its unfair to make that comparison. Both were Mr. Clutch in each of their eras IMO

I believe Kobe is second on the all-time list of game-winners, if that means anything. He's also the first to ever average double-digits in fourth quarter play through an entire season, I believe (or the first since Wilt, something like that).

Same reason people might say Kobe is a more dominant scorer than Wilt

Well in Wilt's case, you don't really need to watch games to know that he dominated...

Multiple triple-doubles, 100 point game, insane scoring and rebounding averages, can run and pass like a PG, etc...

I bet Ken has... speaking of which, where is that old bloke???

Btw I agree with you MDI, but I have to say... it's hard to imagine Jerry West was MORE clutch than Kobe Bryant... REALLY HARD to imagine.

No I disagree with you Kwamerex, I think watching Wilt's playing WOULD make a difference... to see a 7 ft black man running around a bunch of tiny white dudes in short shorts would explain A LOT... not to say Wilt wouldn't be a stand out in the current era, but there is NO WAY IN HELL he averages anything above 30 in our league... NO WAY.

I've read books about Jerry West and how he used to put his team on his back and score every point they needed in the end while West was in the NCAA and NBA.

'
Can you provide that source please just for my information
I dont think Kobes game winner % isnt that great. How do we define clutch. game winners are clutch but also 1 minute and under is clutch as well.

Shouldn't there be another option here. Such as I never saw West play so I don't know.

What's the point of asking this when only 1% of this whole board has watched Jerry West play?
