Nas was a steal at #15.

Either way, Mike Trudell wins. That's hilarious.

Referee ni@@az is lame they call charging

All yall who hate Weezy need to listen to his mixtapes before you label him only as a pop artist

as much as I dislike wayne's latest content (past 2-3 years), to say HE isnt HIPHOP is a blatant disrespect to the culture. What makes anyone in here more hip hop than Lil Wayne, or lil BOW wow for that matter. Hip hop isnt about who s the most UNDERGROUND, hip hop can be mass, and it can be SIMPLE, Wayne is still a lyrical beast when he tries and A MILLI can attest to that. AND , me being from theWEST , it's not only about the lyrics. EAZY E was hiphop, and he didnt even write rhymes. I dont get the logic on this site, when it relates to hip hop

You lose what little credibility you had with that statement. Lyrical beast on A Milli?

A milli was a joke. Wayne's pursuit to leave his legacy in hip hop is about as credible as superhead sayin' she's an actress. kissin' your "daddy's" what sells nowadays.

All yall are entitled to yall's opinion, But to judge Weezy on his club bangers such a Milli, Lollipop , and Prom Queen and other cap like that you have no idea what type of lyrical beast this dude is.

You could photoshop lipstick and eye makeup on caah but he is the voice of the hood!!!

Like I said before if you don't listen to Mixtapes you don't know or understand WEEZY DA MONSTA

His Imagery and delivery is like none other!!!!!!

That's just a taste of some of the OG BANGAS

man like i said t.i. will rip lil stain a new a**hole like he his daddy birdman...imagery? he has no imagery or delivery wth when i listen to him it sounds like im listening to rap on phonics..jay z has rapped some whole out of your mind thought provoking ish that you probably wasnt paying attention or not mature enough to understand so you opt for the guy who is going to feed you the rhymes as if your a 2 year old?
his music has no substance. no meaning. no description. not a damn thing but spittin.

say that I'm foolish I only talk about jewels (bling bling)
Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?
See I'm influenced by the ghetto you ruined
That same dude you gave nothin, I made somethin doin
what I do through and through and
I give you the news - with a twist it's just his ghetto point-of-view
The renegade; you been afraid
I penetrate pop culture, bring 'em a lot closer to the block where they
pop toasters, and they live with they moms
Got dropped roasters, from botched robberies n*ggaz crotched over
Mommy's knocked up cause she wasn't watched over
Knocked down by some clown when child support knocked
No he's not around - now how that sound to ya, jot it down
I bring it through the ghetto without ridin 'round
hidin down duckin strays from frustrated youths stuck in they ways
Just read a magazine that f***ed up my day
How you rate music that thugs with nothin relate to it?
I help them see they way through it - not you
Can't step in my pants, can't walk in my shoes
Bet everything you worth; you lose your tie and your shirt

lmao at him being the voice of the hood obviously your not or no where near the hood if you even respect this guy as a man...and since when did having a harmonica stuck in your throat hood? was it roger troutman who fooled yall? becuz that ish is not "hood".

lil wayne is a fraud thats the main thing i have against this homo how you gon say you a blood and convince all these young dudes its cool to gang bang and be a blood when your not even a blood? and then he contradicts himself later when he says he dont even know that much about bloods..lil wayne is a joke.
http://www.worldstar...3LYeVCC48nhpZhH

now here compare lil wayne's and t.i.'s verses on "swagger like us" to see who is just spittin without a point and all over the place and who really seems to be putting effort in the song with his wordplay?

[Lil Wayne]
No one on the corner has swagger like moi
Church, and I'm too clean for the choir
I require, but I desire
I got stripes, A-di-das
Mamis scream, "?Papi no mas!"
Run up in your [expletive] just me, no mas
Running this [expletive] like I got four' tires
No one has swagger like these for' guys
Now when it comes to styles, I got several
Sharper than the swagger, dagger or metal
And my jew-els, blue and yellow
The type of [expletive] that make 'em call you Carmelo
Who's as follows stay true to the ghetto
Write your name on the bullet make you feel special
Ha! What the [expletive] you boys talking 'bout?
I know it's us cause we the only thing you talk about
And I'm gone... bye... yeah

[T.I.]
Hah, you see? That's right
Ay, you know see Weezy for the wordplay, Jeezy for the bird play
Kanyeezy for diversity and me for controversy
I'm a verse that's picture perfect, only spit to serve a purpose
You ain't living what you kicking then you worthless
Lookin from the surface it may seem like I got reason to be nervous
Been observant, work to see if my adversity was worth it
Verse is autobiographical, absolutely classical
Last thing I'm worried 'bout is what another rapper do
Ain't nobody hot as me
Even if they rap they [expletive] off, blast off and have outstanding quality
Sell a lot of records, I'll respect it and salute that
But spin real life on hot beats, I'm the truth at
You kick it like me, no exaggeration necessary
Living revolutionary, nothing less than legendary
Gangsta [expletive] hereditary, got it from my dad
Flow colder than February with extraordinary swag

"With all this extra stressin
The question I wonder is after death, after my last breath
When will I finaly get to rest? Through this supression
they punish the people that's askin questions
And those that possess, steal from the ones without possesions
The message I stress: to make it stop study your lessons
Don't settle for less - even the genius asks-es questions
Be grateful for blessings
Don't ever change, keep your essence
The power is in the people and politics we address
Always do your best, don't let the pressure make you panic
And when you get stranded
And things don't go the way you planned it
Dreamin of riches, in a position of makin a difference
Politicians and hypocrites, they don't wanna listen
If I'm insane, it's the fame made a brother change
It wasn't nuttin like the game
It's just me against the world"

Like I said before everyone is entitled to their opinion. All gravy.

As for you saying Weezy has no substance. no meaning. no description. not a damn thing but spittin that is your opinion and it's cool.

Mines and alot of other Weezy heads think otherwise and that ain't gonna change.

I like Hova, T.I , Kanye, Mos Def, Common, Talib, Nas, The Game, and much more but Weezy will still be bumping in my ride along with the others

its funny how people can talk to me about hip hop credibility, young [expletive]as from the hood like me are the essence of hip hop. But i digress to say Wayne doesnt have much substance, but to say he isnt hip hop is still hip hop ignorant.
Jay is the best, and Em a close second, IMHO, but all that being said people who test the street credibility of artists, but arent from the street at all need to slit their wrists
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
