first off

what has the clippers done in there history in LA? Noting

Are theyre any fans? Clipper fans? No

LA doesnt want Clippers.

Moving to San Deigo, gives the city another sport team. People of SD would love to see other NBA teams like the Lakers

History doesn't qualify a team for anything.. The Suns haven't ever won a championship. That's the only thing that matters.

That's a very ignorant thing to say, there's a lot of Clipper fans. Clipper fans are actually the truest fans in the NBA, they don't bandwagon, they're always sticking to the team through the good and the bad... Those are the kinda fans every team needs.

LA doesnt want Clippers.

Says who? I'm in LA, and I want them.. And so do all the Clipper fans I know.

The Clippers aren't "other NBA teams like the Lakers". There aren't any more Clipper fans in SD than there are here. I've loved the fact that I can go to Clipper games at least 6-7 times a month.
I'm a DIE HARD Clippers fan, and proud. I respect the Lakers and watch them every chance I get.

Respect me and I'll respect you. Don't respect me... we'll cross that bridge when we get there :)

It would be better for the Clippers themselves if they moved, and didn't have to play under the shadow of the Lakers, and continuously be compared to them as the sucky team in LA.

No one cares about shadows

I guess we should kick out the Warriors and Kings from California? Cause if shadows existed Lakers would have a pretty big one

Winning cures everything

Just trying to help the Clips out sheesh. And no, Warriors and Kings are different. We're not the California Lakers, we're the LA Lakers. And the LA Clippers are known as LA's loser other team. The cure hasn't really ever reached LA's other team either.

2. All clipper fans are Laker fans in there heart. Who would cheer on a team like that? Whats so great about? Theyre [expletive]!

3. If they moved to san degio, They would get some fans there. I love the fact that i can see laker jersey in a clipper game LMAO

You should be a little bit more knowledgeable and speak from a basketball stand point and not a Laker fan stand point.

There are Clipper fans here at TLN. CalmInsanity is one of them. He has backed his team from day one even though they are struggling.

Who cares what jersey you see at a Clipper game. I've went to the Lakers Knicks this season and saw a guy wearing a Boston jersey and another one wearing a Spurs jersey. Some BASKETBALL fans like to go to other games to watch the game of basketball being played. I went to the Clippers/Jazz game earlier this season. Doesn't make me less of a Laker fan

Be a hater on the Clippers if you want. But they are still an LA team and they represent the city too.

Thanks westcoast, you hit it perfectly. Couldn't have said it better.

Clippers fans aren't all Laker fans at heart. They're all pure Clipper fans.. That's why they don't jump off during hard times like these. I actually even remember a few Laker fans that jumped over to the Clippers during that playoff run they had.. So people go support teams whether they're fans or not.

Actually, to be perfectly honest, alot of Clipper fans are Laker HATERS (I used to be one of them). Not for the team, but for some of the fans (not talking about you HAHA :D). During their championship run, some of them got really obnoxious. Before their 3 peat no one in LA had any problems with each other.

Now, I've seen that there are truly nice and good, basketball watching Laker fans, and I've grown to like watching them and talking basketball with their fans. I have no bad blood with the Lakers, and when I see my fellow Clipper fans hating on them, I usually stick up for them on any Clipper forums. We should be supporting the Lakers, not hating them.

Oh and about the Suns making some noise in the playoffs... They don't get anything for it. Just lost memories, just like that one run the Clippers had. I'm sure you guys would have liked the Lakers to win the championship last year 30x more than winning just the Western Conference.

So, LD2k, you'd rather I be a bandwagon fan, and just jump off the ship whenever things go bad? What does that remind you of? COUGHCELTICSFANSCOUGH. Come on dude, winning isn't everything. This season, as bad as the games have been, I've watched Eric Gordon develop, goofy DeAndre Jordan find his way into the NBA, and when we DO win it feels really special. That's all I can ask for.. and once they become winners (in my opinion, when they get rid of Dunleavy) No one can say ANYTHING to me, because I've been there. That's what a true fan is. I know many die hard Clipper fans right now- we watch and support the TEAM.

I know man, you're the TRUEST Clippers fan I've ever met - and that's why you're crazy.

I just hate to see it happen. The stigma around the Clippers is because:

A) The franchise is NOT committed to winning (yes, it's everything).
B) Their the second team in Los Angeles

There is a stigma there and it hurts the credibility and the perspective of the Clippers. Many look at them as a joke for many reasons we don't need to get into (enough Lakers fans talk crap when they don't need too).

It'll be nice, let's get West in there and watch some magic happen.

Oh and about the Suns making some noise in the playoffs... They don't get anything for it. Just lost memories, just like that one run the Clippers had. I'm sure you guys would have liked the Lakers to win the championship last year 30x more than winning just the Western Conference.

True... but the NBA Finals is an elite, different level of basketball.

The NBA Finals can change a franchise forever; win or lose.

Cavs got the hint and they put together a damn good team for LeBron. 2008 will set off a new dynasty here in Los Angeles. Book it.

It's all on the Clippers. As long as they start winning, they'll have a place, whether it's in Los Angeles, Oklahoma, or Boston... Any city. As long as they're winning.

As far as stigma I agree, but the only people who will realize the stigma are the fans of the team. Lakers fans are the only ones that can truly compare Lakers and Clippers. They've been there through every championship and remember every memory as if it was today (even though memories are being made today too HAHA)

Other fans, will not hold the past against the Clippers once they start winning. Just like I don't hold the Bulls' past towards them (their 6 championships with Michael Jordan... That's not the image I see when I watch the Bulls). However, Bulls fans will always remember that, because they've BEEN THERE through every championship, and remember them all. So Bulls fans see their team differently than we do obviously.

Like I said, winning cures ALL. Maybe it won't cure bad history, but the present and the future will be much better.

Agree, send the Clippers back to Diego where they belong.

Don't even make me talk about the Raiders... Just kidding :P hehehe.

There was a point in my life where I thought that the Clippers needed to move... then I started to go to more games, and saw the die hard fan base they have. All the haters need to watch some Clipper basketball, they are really fun to watch, (sometimes more than the Lakers), because blowing leads is not fun!!!..... anyways, The Clipps are awesome, and I would be really upset if they moved. This year more than ever, I think they have the talent. Guys like Gordon, Randolph, Thorton, DeAndre (SHOOT THOSE FREE THROWS UNDERHANDED!!!) these guys will be house hold names in the future, and its fun watching them grow.

clippers dont need to move, they are fine. they have fans, insane ones....i dont see a crazy laker fan screaming from the stands to get up off their seats and clap and cheer in unison.

i do see a clipper fan do that, and mark cuban wanted to steal him away from the clippers.

some of you people hate the clippers just because they are the clippers and in the same city. poor reasoning to hate them.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed

Wow.. If you see a Clipper fan, you're gona spit at them? Dude seriously, just because they're a fan of a certain team, and you're the fan of the team that EVERYONE LIKES?

You're not helping the case, this is why Clipper fans, and alot of NBA team fans (no offense, everyone knows the Lakers are the most popular AND the most hated team at the same time :P), don't like Laker fans... They say stuff like this!!

At least TLN has made me realize not every fan is like that though.

have you been to a laker game? a clipper game?

dude, same here man. i didn't hate the clippers, but i was uninterested in them until i started going to their games.

i've only been to one laker game, but i've been to numerous clipper games cuz they're tickets are so damn cheap, and yeah clipper fans get crazy and they're games are so fun to watch.

about deandre shooting his freethrows underhanded, the last clipper game i went to was the home game against the spurs where deandre banked in a freethrow, haha, he was smiling the entire way down the court.

LOL reading the DeAndre Jordan bit you wrote put a smile on my face.

The game against Phoenix, against Shaq, he made 2 in a row.. And decided to use Shaq's move RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. He looked down at his left hand with a shocked face as if he's saying.. "IT'S ALIVEEE!!"

Shaq burst out laughing on the bench and they talked about it after the game.

One thing is for sure, Steve Novak is the best -wide open- three point shooter in the NBA so far. Anyway, I really like their current team, they┬┤re so talented and deep. If they stay healthy next season, they will be a WC powerhouse for sure, I hope so, they definitely deserve it. Nice backcourt, amazing all-around point guard, a great and big frontcourt, not a bad bench... They will be there with us, Spurs, Rockets, Hornets...

Arguably the greatest franchise ever
