Every game there are about 5-10 times when the Lakers can dunk the ball but they settle for layups and weak shots which they miss.....i just dont understand why they dont dunk the damn ball

theres no excuse for this..if you add up all the points and free throw attempts and momentum they could have from dunks we would win at least 3-4 more games at the least

well most teams in basketball go for the layup way more often than the dunk, with the exception of some highly athletic players. it's a basketball thing. i'm sure there's some kind of reason, i can't say for sure since i don't play organized ball.

I guess it depends too. They're more likely to dunk during a fast break rather than a few defenders around them.

i see, but in the philly game i re watched it and there were about 8 times where they could've had a dunk but they go soft and miss....thats 16 points...big differencial

Yeah our team dunking as a whole is right there with anyone in the league. You just notice it more with our team since you watch the Lakers more compared to other teams.

while that may be true..i guarantee our "soft" tag has something to do with that, we would've won that philly game and others if we were more aggressive

Lakers Don't Need to Dunk The Ball.
Maybe Sometimes Lakers Need To Dunk The Ball,
But Lakers Players Dunk The Ball,Maybe Not Always.
