What do you expect? As most of us know, the majority that go aren't real Laker fans. Now some, and I mean VERY FEW, of those rich folks and celebs, are legit fans like Jack, but not many overall, not many at all.

Jack still wore green (shoes) and so did Kobe (his laces were green) so it didn't matter if they were Laker fans or not. Wearing green didn't matter.

It was saint patty's day lol, it's not like all those fans wore green when we were against the celts.

But yea Staples is weak, on tv when you hear defense chants before the 4th you hear like, only girls. Always. When I'm there I'm like screaming the loudest. I need to go this year.

its awesome. when its your first game try to sit in the 100s section. I sat in both 300 and 100 sections and I got to say that the 100 section is fairly more loud. The view is alot better too =].

Mike Breen: Walton can tip it. Bryant with the save.
Hubie Brown: Oh you gotta get a shot here
Mike Breen: Final Seconds.. Bryant for the win, BANG!

My uncle and cousin went to Lakers-Sonics last year and sat like 115 row d like amazing seats

My uncle got so frickin pissed becuase there was this guy who cam to the game with his friend during the 3rd quarter, they drank a beer, talked on the phone and left before the 4rth. My uncle is like wtf why couldnt have those tickets have gone to a real fan like maor (me).

True that, it's just ticket prices are horrible. I've been to 6 games in the last 2 years (not this season yet) and always sit in the 100s, don't think I'll be able to sit farther...

well ive said it before and i will continue saying it

the crowd sucks ive been to 1 laker game and it was awesome...the game was awesome not the crowd

the times ive been to staples regularly is during the playoffs for "Home Court Advantage" and trust me that's where most of the real fans go kuz we cant afford the high ticket prices...i love those away games at staples kuz the crowds energy is great; high fiving, hugging, jumping, screaming with people you dont even know but your all there for one reason, THE LAKERS

Ive been thinking that TLN should make a road trip for all the true fans up to Sacramento next season or against the CLippers and we all sit in the same section

The crowd usually has a stigma of not coming alive until the 4th. That's somewhat true, but we're as loud as they get come the 4th. It's an underrated environment for opposition. Many players have said this (AI, Peirce)...

Just bc rich ppl go doesnt mean they're not real fans. Im sure there are ppl that goes to game that are not fans but thats every team, not just the Lakers. So if i could afford in the 100's than suddenly i become the "not a real laker fan" category?

we need better music at staples

80's music is good for hole-in-a-wall bars....not the lakers

Yes. They ARE fans, but I doubt that some snobby celebrity will stand up and cheer on every play, instead of sitting and trying to look good... I'm no saying that you have to scream and jump on every basket to be a "real fan", but you have to agree that Staples is too quiet most of the time... Just imagine if Staples had the same environment like in Utah. This will be a major boost to our team and the Lakers would be unbeatable with such a crowd behind them...

Of course it doesn't mean that for everyone.

Mark Cuban just lowered ticket prices for the Mavs, 500 upper bowl $2 seats and 2000 seat at $15 and under due to the recession, the problem is that since we have major paying celebs coming to our games the prices at Staples are just "FROZEN" so no price increase .... kinda sucks but what can we do.

I went to 1 Laker game and that was 11/25/07 vs the Nets. Kobe in the 4th made 5 three's in a row! I was jumping on my seat standing up! I also sat next to the guy that u see after the games at Staples. He always has on a blue retro Lakers jacket, a licenses plate that says "Lakers", and he always does a salute. :)
