Doesn't surprise me anymore. I'm more surprised if the Lakers keep a lead nowadays.

Of course it worries me. I've been one of the biggest complainers on this board about blown leads from the Lakers. But I think the Lakers will correct it in the playoffs. At least I hope they will correct it.

I'm not worried. I'm just upset. I'm upset that the bench doesn't let the starters rest and ice their knees, even keep a lead and let the scrubs come in. I haven't seen Adam Morrison play, Shannon has barely played, Sun Yue hardly played when he was around, and the 2nd unit has not learned anything to take into the post-season.

But whatever, let's bring back Andrew and have Lamar straighten those guys out.

when bynum comes back our 2nd unit should be

andrew
lamar
luke
ariza
shannon

basically all defense to let kobe and pau rest so that we can at least keep a lead

Yeah, they can't possibly let another Boston series game 4 collapse happen again could they?

Thanks Chicano, I really wanted to be reminded of the single worst thing I've ever witnessed.

The Bench will be the Best Bench in the NBA again when Big Drew comes back.

Phil already said Andrew will start because he doesn't want him to go cold after warmups.
Lamar and Trevor goes back to bench

Starting Lineup

I think it was that Mbenga for Gasol swap that drilled into the 2nd unit's 19 point lead last night. Otherwise they were playing fine.

I don't think this tonight was about defense. This was about getting lazy on offense once we got a big lead.

We only gave up 88 point. Boozer was bragging about Utah only giving up 86, citing it as the reason for his team's victory.

Officiating was a joke in this game, and so was Derek Fisher. Poor decision making and inability to defend the point.

We got jobbed in Salt Lake. No surprise. No reason to go all Charles Barkley on this team and say, "they aren't on a mission", etc. It's bull.

This team played okay tonight. Not great. But, after the first quarter, we played pretty well until we had the big lead in the third and our offensive execution went to pot.

We still took an 8 point lead into the fourth quarter, but then Utah got hot.

Nonetheless, we still came back.

Foul Andrew out in a total of about 12 possessions and it damages our ability to defend the interior, especially when Boozer is allowed to hook Gasol.

Saturday should be different. Unfortunately, we needed to go up 3-0 with Okur out. If he comes back on Saturday, this game may really bite us.

I've been waiting for this team to kick into "their gear" but it hasn't happened and if it cant happen in the playoffs then when? when they lose another series, the finals? this team is really worrying me this type of game doesn't cut it. Specially in the playoffs, im sorry i cant agree we lost because of officiating we lost because we let our guard down AGAIN!

So, Kobe shooting 5 of 24 was bad Lakers defense?

Don't get caught up in blaming the Lakers for a lack of effort.

Utah is a good team, especially at home.

Andrew Bynum, 6 fouls in 7 minutes. That is almost a physical impossibility.

It's okay to blame the refs. It makes a lot more sense than acting as if the Lakers don't want to win.
