Boston Celtics captain and NBA Finals MVP Paul Pierce joined Mike Greenberg as co-host of ESPN Radio's "Mike and Mike in the Morning" on Friday.He responded to the pressing questions surrounding Kobe Bryant. Pierce explained that his assertion of being the best player in the world was more of a reflection of his confidence in his own game than an insult to Bryant's. "I love Kobe. I watch Kobe all the time when I'm not playing against him," Pierce said, adding, "Right now I already have Kobe as one of the top 25 players to ever play the game at this point and he still has many years to go, so I have the utmost respect for him. It wasn't a diss or a smack down." Pierce also noted that he and Bryant have never exchanged trash talk on the court.
