when he's on like he was tonight".

Anyone catch that.... "by far"

I was a little surprised more than anything that HE would say that, but he did & the other two ESPN working dudes beside him, Scott Van Pelt and John Buccigross did not disagree. There's a difference, but I have already heard for the record Scott Van Pelt say Kobe Bryant is the one player he would pay to most watch play in person more than anyone else in the league. I was surpised to hear that as well, again, just strictly for the fact that it was coming from him.

Kobe is the best player in the game

Tell me something I don't know :P

Oh, and some Rockets' commentators said that Kobe's the best last night ( I "enjoyed" watching the game on FSrockets ). So 2 more guys in the list I guess :) ...

When an ESPN dude compliments Kobe, everyone gets all joyous.

When one happens to have a different opinion... "BSPN SUCKS!!!"

I couldn't agree more. Kobe can take over a game like no one else can.

Tim's opinion neither confirms or negates the existence of this fact, nor does it change the fact that Kobe has been the best player in the NBA for the past 4-5 years now...hands down.

Don't get excited about this. It means nothing...just like his slights meant nothing.

I honestly still think Lebron is the best player in the league. Kobe is better lat in the game, but Lebron is the better player overall. Just my opinion.

The thing is that, It's rare that a ESPN analyst compliments KOBE. Tim Legler i know never ever wanted to give KOBE his props. He was always on the Lebron Bandwagon. So it is a surprise that he said that. Same thing goes for Rick Kamla he's let it be known he has a man crush on Lebron, rarely gives Kobe props but now all of a sudden he has a change of heart. WTF is that?

Rick Kamla -

"Right now i give it to kobe because lebrons work has come up very small against the best teams in the NBA.1-2 Boston,0-2 LA,0-1 Orlando,1-1 Houston. Its becoming a trend that Lebron James is having bad games and is losing to the best teams in the NBA."

He makes a pretty good point eh?

Legler has given Kobe props on several occasions. It's just that Kobe fans only remember the "hate", and basically have the attitude that "if you aren't with us, you're against us".

he also did say gilbert arenas was the best scorer in the NBA 2 years ago and also said he had the best scoring season since MJ

so tim is not really the brightest bulb of the bunch

I think that Jamal Mashburn has been knocking some sense into Tim Legler over the past year +.

I've always thought that Legler was pathetic, going back to the 2004 Finals.

I've gotta believe that real basketball players, like Greg Anthony and Jamal Mashburn, probably have a field day with this chump when they are off camera, asking how in the world he can truly question the vast ability of Kobe.
