wow....all this talk about spurs at 'full strength'

straight comical coming from a team that got unceremoniously booted out by a Bynum and Ariza-less lakers last season

i have respect for the Sperms...they were a legit rival but that team is f'n toast if they run into the lakers....
QUOTE ("Jerry Buss")
One of the biggest reasons I bought the Lakers was to beat the Celtics …..you just got it into your soul that you couldn't stand the Celtics anymore

Save this to the thread, im calling it now. Spurs in 5, at most 6. The guys looked damn good tonight, Manu would have closed this game. Gooden is going to be a hungry monster come playoff time.

It's funny and all but it reminds me of this place when the Lakers lose.

Unfortunetely...

Most of these quotes are from "fans" that clearly don't know basketball so good...

P.S. So is Ginobili returning any time soon ?

Dirk choked. I'm usually his biggest defender, but christ, grow some balls and make a shot. I'm done with watching the Mavs. Waste of time.

How do the lakers come up with guys like Ariza? Every time I watch the Lakers that guy is making plays. And Fisher shouldn't even be playing for the Lakers. He should still be back in Utah.

this is where dirk needs to take charge.

FEED DIRK. HE'LL DO WORK.

I hate to say it, but Dirk cost us this game

I was actually very pleased by our performance. The Lakers are better than we are, and we were playing them at their place. So I'll take a loss against the best team in the WC where we had a chance to win the game.

What do all three Laker games have in common?

1) All without Howard
2) All losses
3) All by 7

Take it for what it's worth.

Dirk oh Dirk. Why...

Got one by Jason Terry, I see where he is coming from.... actually no I don't:

And though they wouldn’t say it publicly, the Mavs also would prefer to move up in the standings and avoid the Lakers. Their chances of escaping the first round brighten should they instead face the Spurs.

Terry, however, was buoyed by the Mavs’ latest performance. “We don’t avoid anyone,” he said.

"Knowing that we went 0-3 this season against the Lakers, we like our chances. We match up pretty well with that team. If it's a team we've got to face down the line, we're confident it will be a knock-out series for us
