We're pretty damn good. Look at tonight. Kobe trusted his teammates against a top defensive team. What happened? Kobe got better looking shots, and made most of them.

That's the key to Laker success is trust.

he trusted them because we played defense

Rockets are ranked No.7 in 3 point shooting and we did an amazing job of covering their 3 point shooters and contesting them. They shot 5 for 28.

This is only true when his teammates are hitting the shot. Walton, Odom, Ariza, Vujacic are all inconsistent playres. And Fisher is sometimes known to take ill advised shots. Its good when his teammates are taking and making shots but what happens when they are in a slump and just keep passing the ball to kobe. Thats our problem. We dont have an inside game aside from Kobe driving and kicking and occasionaly Pau's left hand.

We need Bynum back and next season a player that has the ability to drive to the basket asides from kobe.

He trusted them because he saw how MISERABLY we failed when he didn't.

Kobe is a rich man's Iverson when he chucks. When he passes, he's GOAT material, and tonight proves it.

Uh, how can you hit a shot when you don't GET to shoot?

Gasol was getting only 12 shots a game in the last few.

Odom was getting around 5.

Tonight, Powell got 14, Gasol got 18, Fisher got 9, heck even Walton got 7.

Trusting your teammates and not being a hissy prissy ballhog wins games. No more chucking. No more aiming for 81 garbage. This is real basketball.

thats not what im saying. I'm saying what happens when your team starts chucking themselves. Just random threes or jump shots early into shot clock. I know Kobe takes a lot of shots but when your teammates aren't making anything then why wouldn't he try to get things started. When he sees that his teammates are doing well im sure he knows to pass it to them.

Because when you stick to the TEAM game, your teammates WILL eventually make them.

Ballhogs don't trust their teammates. Trust is a huge factor in winning it big. A true leader shows trust for their teammates.

Your arguement that 'this team is bad' is complete and utter garbage. This is the same garbage that you guys made when it was just Kobe and Odom. Sorry, it doesn't work anymore. Kobe has a good team, and it shows tonight that when he isn't a prissy ballhog, we do much better.

agreed. :D Pau should take more shots like he did tonight.
Mike Breen: Walton can tip it. Bryant with the save.
Hubie Brown: Oh you gotta get a shot here

We also know this team isn't going to do jack when Kobe decides to be passive, like he was in the first half (scored what, six points, and we were down eleven).

When he took over the game, especially late in the fourth, we won.

I don't know what else to say about it.

i dont think your reading things right. When did i say this team is "garbage" I said that when people arent making it Kobe has the mindset to takeover. Im just saying what i see in the games. And i never said the team was bad i said a certain few are inconsistent players.

Another post regarding Kobe's ballhogging. Who would've thought? Your arguments can be considered just as much garbage because you've made your points already -- you know in previous threads.

You're right. Shooting 39 shots in a game is on par to John Stockton's selflessness.

We also know this team isn't going to do jack when Kobe decides to be passive, like he was in the first half (scored what, six points, and we were down eleven).

'Late in the 4th quarter' is the key part. Passing the ball and trusting teammates early in the game gets you open looks in the 4th. You chuck the whole game, they're just going to suffocate.

Teammates will play worse defense due to just standing their on offense. You get them involved early, their defense improves, they spread the floor, and allow Kobe to operate in the 4th. Kobe works best when he feels the game out, not when he chucks.

i dont think your reading things right. When did i say this team is "garbage" I said that when people arent making it Kobe has the mindset to takeover. Im just saying what i see in the games. And i never said the team was bad i said a certain few are inconsistent players.

But that's the thing. Even when we are 'missing' shots, you need to trust that they will eventually make them.

I mean, there's no excuse that Gasol was getting 10-12 shots a game for the past 4 until tonight. There's no excuse of Odom getting barely 5 shots. You need balance.

Seeing Pau shooting, its a high chance he will make it.

Trusting players leads to better performance. It builds confidence in them. Kobe is still learning that but he is much better than before.

When did Kobe get open looks in the fourth? Most every shot he took was contested.

"you know i love you my n*****" "ay you know i love you too"

I'm happy about his 2 blocks and 4 steals more than his passing
