The NBA eliminated the illegal defense violation, the Lakers play no defense. Solution? Use it to our advantage and have 3 of our guys wait on the offensive end to get the easy score on EVERY possesion. It wont make much of a difference on the defensive end, only 2 players play defense either way. Who knows, having 2 on 5 guys might pump them up to actually up their defensive play... sorry got a little carried away with the thought that the Lakers might consider upping their defensive play. Can you imagine? If we get, lets say we get 90 possetions a game, our FG% will be upwards to 95% to 100%, we will be looking at a ppg of about 170-180 ppg!!!! Anybody with me???

interesting idea

who would we have at each end?

gasol and odom
fisher, kobe and luke?

could have ariza playing center field so we'd have a 2-1-2.

lakers would still lose becuz the other team would be shooting open threes all game. so whats the difference?

If that would ever happen (and it will never), our opponents would just return their two best defensive players back down the floor, and we'd be in big trouble trying to get the inbounds pass out there. It would be a three-on-two all game long against us.

Funny thing is the Suns sort of run this offense, as they always have a "leak" guy run to the offensive end everytime a shot is put up (usually Barbosa or Hill).

Well, what if the opposing team does a 2-2 offense and 3-3 defense? then this plan would just crumble?
