D Wade facing $25 million lawsuit?

While Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade is covering himself with Olympic glory in China, his partners in a restaurant venture here are suing him. By the time he returns stateside, the high-flying dunk artist could be told they want him to pony up $25 million, a source close to the case told Page Two. Wade, 26, is accused of not fulfilling his marketing obligations in what was supposed to become a national chain of sports bars named D. Wade's Place. "That's ridiculous," said his Miami lawyer, Steven Peretz. "Their company hasn't been a model of success." Florida was to be a showcase for future investors, the source tells me, with as many as 13 pilot restaurants in West Palm Beach, Daytona Beach, Tampa and other cities. But the first two grills, in Boca and Fort Lauderdale, were shut down after just weeks in business. The others have yet to open. -- Palm Beach Post

How is this not funny? Wade getting sued $25 million for 2 restaurants that failed to do anything. So much for a restaurant chain...

Also, having a personal dislike of Wade makes this situation more funny to me.

I don't like D-Wade. Simple as that. That's why I find this story funny. Also, anyone getting sued 25 million for two restaurants failing is preposterous. The situation that Wade's been thrust into is outrageous which makes it funny to me.

If something like what happened to Wade happened to Kobe, I'd still laugh at it. $25 million lawsuit for a craptacular restaurant chain is outrageous to happen to any athlete. Though I will admit that this particular thing happening to Wade makes it funnier imo
