For the third consecutive game, Lamar Odom was underwhelming.

The two points and two rebounds Odom delivered Friday night against Minnesota came on the heels of two points and 13 rebounds against Memphis and four points and six rebounds against Phoenix. He missed 11 of 15 shots in the three games.

Lakers Coach Phil Jackson had a succinct answer when asked whether he was concerned about Odom's decline: "Yes."

Jackson noticed Odom changed his free-throw approach against Minnesota, and that led to a conversation, with Jackson saying Odom may have "got up on the wrong side of the bed or something happened to him.

"We know he can have little sessions of doubt or doldrums or whatever. He'll get it back."

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt after having a great February.

Absolute overreaction at its finest...

It's not decline when you are just sucking for like 3 games... Call me when he is slumping for like 3 weeks already, then we'll talk...

It's just LO being LO...

Play him and Bynum in the same starting five, and you won't have to worry about Lamar scoring anymore, just rebounding the ball and playing better defense.

Amen. I don't get why they don't play him at the 3.

But Lamar is gonna have to come up big tonight against Aldridge

Tiger can't change his stripes. It's going to happen. Inconsistency is his middle name. Nothing to see here. I'm waiting on the return of the Bynum. I'm never gonna hang my hat on Lamar for anything serious...

He'll suck balls in the regular season, as he always does, but he manages to pick things up for the playoffs so no complaints.

Exactly. This whole signing of Odom in the offseason isn't that pressing of an issue to me. Resign Ariza and use the MLE on Kidd or something.

yeah I think they need to think of trading lamar. He is a good player but this past game he is out of his mind.
he is like the roller coaster. H ehad a good start when bynum is out but this is the time Lakers need him.

By the way Benga is playing good !!!

Agreed. We need to sign Lamar back, then trade him.
