Kobe: 47.4% shooting overall this year, 33.9% from 3. 42.5% from midrange (5 middle areas on the hotspots shot chart). 55% from inside (4 close areas on the chart).
Lebron: 49.2% shooting overall, 34.2% from 3. 39.2% from midrange. 61.1% from inside.

All Kobe has on Lebron right now, statistically of course (not "intangibles" and such), is FT shooting and turnovers. Lebron shoots better from in close and long range, and Kobe shoots better from midrange.

You can argue whichever way, that Kobe is better because of blah or Lebron is better because of blah. But "Lebron can't shoot" or "Kobe is a much better shooter than Lebron" is a myth.

Glad you appreciate it bro.

I love Kobe too, it's just on this site I have to play more devil's advocate and show the other side cuz so many people are blindly biased, whereas on my other forum I have to defend Kobe much more.

Then that means that LeBron has higher basketball IQ in that he doesn't settle for chucking, and rather shoots the ball closer.

3% is nothing, and when you shoot less, you have less opportunity to make up for your makes.

Try again. LeBron can shoot, and you're insecure about it.

okay so what you're saying is, at age 30, you want kobe to wear himself out by the time the playoffs roll around? He is smart because he is a great shooter, so instead of wasting energy and getting beat up on the way to the basket, he shoots and makes most of his shots and saves his body for the playoffs, when he starts doing everything, shoot, slash, get in deep, post up. do you remember what he did to Denver last year in the first round? or utah? how bout spurs? he destroyed them every way possible, he took it to the basket with authority and made outside shots. so don't tell me he has bad shot selection. when mj got old he wasn't going strong to the basket unless it was the playoffs.
