Manu update: Popovich said it won't be long before Spurs guard Manu Ginobili gets a second MRI exam on his right ankle, the next step in his return from a stress reaction that has kept him on the shelf since the All-Star break.
“He was out a week in a boot,” Popovich said. “When he came out of the boot, they told us two to three weeks, and tomorrow will be two weeks. In that sense, I guess we're getting closer.
“I think what will tell the tale will be when we get him back in there to take a picture to make sure they don't see now what they saw before to make them put him in a boot. That's the bottom line, and that's probably coming up pretty quickly.”
So Manu was in a boot, and he still has to be re-analyzed with hope's he's healed or he stays on the shelf?
Not looking good for Spurs considering no Ginobili then no chance for the Spurs.
