Chris Mihm hasn’t played or even practiced since being traded by the Lakers to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Hasn’t been seen on a court since being sent east for a 2013 second-round draft pick and cash considerations.

Now, it turns out that Mihm, once the Lakers’ starting center, required surgery on his right ankle Tuesday and there is no timetable for his return.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he was surprised that Mihm needed another surgical procedure — his third — on his troubled ankles. Mihm recently had begun seeing playing time after sitting on the bench for much of the early season.

Mihm must have wanted to stay in L.A. so badly that he never mentioned the pain. Poor guy.

How am I supposed to feel bad for ANY Professional Sports player??

At the end of the day, they are walking home with a 7 figure salary.

If somebody came up to me and said, I WILL GIVE YOU 4 Million bucks to undergo 2 major knee surgery's My Response would be: So when do I get into my hospital gown?

Of course he wanted to stay in LA. He was going to ride the bench to a championship.

ha! it would have been wise for him to have told the team about the pain. the lakers wont trade him nor would the grizzlies have accepted him if they knew he was injured and would require surgery.

Whether they knew or not - it was a shrewd move by Mitch to get something (anything0 for a player that had little worth at the time.

I feel for Chris - he's a good guy that doesn't deserve this.

it wouldn't matter if the Lakers knew or not, memphis would've still taken him because of the expiring.

it has more to do with a persons health and well being rather than how fortunate they are to make alot of money. sorry for using a cliche but theres more to life than money
