ORLANDO, Florida -- Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers finally reached common ground in their negotiations, according to a source close to the talks.

Ramirez

After multiple failed attempts, Ramirez accepted a two-year, $45 million deal with the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Agent Scott Boras didn't immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

The Dodgers announced last week that Boras had declined the team's fourth offer to the star outfielder -- a one-year, $25 million contract with a $20 million player option for 2010.

The outfielder is expected to travel to Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Ramirez would then report to the Dodgers' spring training camp in Arizona.

The teams looks amazing the only thing that scares me is our starting rotation and the bullpen.

alright nice!

Man we need some of our youngin's like Billingsley and Kershaw to grow up and take it to the next level. Claudio Varagas has "the stuff" but lacks the control, I hope he can be a surprise pitcher for us

that lineup looks devastating but we really need some pitching

I'm not a Dodgers fan (in fact, I hate baseball in general) but it's ridiculous that he was holding out this long when he was already being offered a hell of a lot of money. I'd find it hard to be a fan of a guy like that.

Manny did that because he knew the Dodgers would offer him an unbelievably high amount of money. Since there isn't a cap in baseball, he could have got even more money.

I still believe it was Boras more than it was Manny.

i read on one of the threads on CD...

that it got done cause Manny told Boras... to get the deal done and stop jerking around

Was listening to (Four Letter Word) radio 710 Ireland and Mason show:

they had that Rojas Guy from (Four Letter Word) Deportes who broke the Manny signing:
he has this to say:

-they asked him how close he was to Manny he said he is very close that its hard to stay in contact with him even though hes close cus manny always changes his phone number every week...

-he said Manny called him and told him the deal was done...

-Manny told him the DODGERS CALLED HIM WITHOUT BORAS TO LET HIM KNOW THE DEALS AND THAT BORAS WAS GETING IN THE WAYAND WAS GUNNA SCREW UP THE DEAL.

-They asked him whether he thought Boras would construct Mannys next contract and he said definitley no....

-He even said that Manny told Boras "get the deal done or were done"

Manny knows what time it was and you cold tell he really wanted to stay in LA!!!!

:jam2: :jam2: :jam2:

oh and F*&K Boras!!!!! :jam2: :mad1:

I couldn't be any more excited about the Manny news. I've always liked the guy since his days in Cleveland. Even when he was a Red Sock, it was tough because I've always hated Boston, but I still found a way to root for him. Manny is awesome.

I saw every interview possible. Everything for me is must see with Manny, not only on the field, but off the field. I would love to meet him in person. Seems like one of the funniest most coolest guys out there. I'd speak to him in Spanish as well. I love hearing when he speaks Spanish in his interviews because sometimes he says more than he does in English so to speak, perhaps because he knows he can get away with it more, lol.

VIVA MANNYWOOD!!
