i don't think it's rigged, but it's always been obvious that superstars tend to get calls in their favor

in games they should put refs of different areas. =(

like lets say lakers vs. nuggets

there should be 1 laker ref and 1 nugget ref and 1 i-don't-give-a-darn-who-wins ref

Would you guys be saying this if we win the championship this season?

It's not rigged. David Stern isn't going to risk something incredibly big like that.

The NBA is not rigged...

However, I do think there is some bias towards particular teams/players.

No, the refs are just flat out bad sometimes... If it's really rigged, the 2007 Finals should have never happened...

There's no way it can ever be proven unless a ref steps forward. Or at least someone with inside sources.

Free throw numbers don't prove anything. I mean some take this so seriously that it clouds their judgement and they're unable to look at it from an unbiased point of view. You're watching the game during the heat of the battle so of course every call is going to upset you regardless of if you agree with it or not.

It makes me think of last season against Boston in Game 2. To this day I still don't think there was anything fishy about the officiating in that game. The Celtics got to the line as much as they did because they were aggressive at attacking the basket, whereas the Lakers settled for mid range jumpers and outside shots. It's the NBA Finals, nothing will be handed to you. You have to actually put PRESSURE on the officials to make a call instead of assuming they'll wipe your butt after you drop a couple.

Even Magic said basically the same thing after that game. Maybe not like that, but yeah.

I'm sure they are biased against us.

I mean, the NBA has NO reason whatsoever to help a team in a market of 10 million, and with the player with the number one selling jersey.

Yeah, they are ALL conspiring against the Lakers...
