I would have to give it to Shaq since he was much more efficient.

I messed up earlier... Sorry about that..

IMO not only was Shaq efficient but he also seem to be drawing a helluva lot of double teams. This allowed Barnes and Hill to have great games themselves and balanced scoring for the whole team. The suns seemed to be getting much easier shots.

You should NEVER shoot 38 shots in a game. And only 2 assists? It's not like we're playing against some great defense. This is the Suns. TRUST YOUR TEAMMATES.

Shaq got his points while trusting his teammates and getting people involved. Shaq had the superior performance.

That's not the question though. Obviously they had the better team, but who did more to make their team better. Obviously it was Shaq.

I agree somewhat. Yes Kobe should've pased the ball more and shot a little less, BUT, the stats aren't totally indicative of how little or how much he tried to get his teammate involved. Point blank, his teammates missed a lot of shots. They just weren't converting. They didn't show up, other than Gasol of course.

Also though, I would LOVE to see Kobe getting back in the post again like he was before these two losses. Lately, he's been settling WAY TOO much for outisde low percentage jumpers and that's just not smart. When he posts up, not only is he more efficient, but he creates better opportunities for his teammates and wide open shots because he draws the defense even more.

You have to continue to trust them though.

The minute he goes into this chucking mentality, everybody loses their mental edge. That causes them to play less hard on defense. You get your teammates easy looks (which they would have no problem converting), they gain confidence on both ends of the floor and play much harder.

Nobody should ever shoot more than 30 times in a game.

And yes, Kobe should have abused the post more. He's best when he gets easy shots.

shaq......but of the 38 shots kobe took 6 were in catch up time or heat checks
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Heat check = chuck for the hell of it and forget the offense.

The only time a player should take a shot early in the shot clock is if they have great post position or are wide wide wide open.

shaq had the better game because his team won...

2 less shots and kobe would've scored 50%, get over it. the last shots were to get the team back into the game.

you don't look at what kobe did in the 3rd quarter, do you? if the team didn't win this game, it was because of DEFENSE. pau and kobe did their best, but the team didn't help them.

kobe had 11 rebounds, he was not only looking to score, he was looking to pick up his teammates, none of them responded.

pau even said it, we need to move and not rely on 2 players only.

what you guys should think about is if the lakers meet this team in the 1st round without andrew, this team might exit in the 1st round to the suns...

Who had the better game last Thursday, Kobe or Shaq? Just curious. I didn't see any Kobe-Shaq comparisons after that game on here.
