It doesn't matter. Phil will play him regardless of what Luke does.

luke had an off game. he is not being overconfident because he can make all the shots he was putting up. yes he is in there to facilitate but when you have wide-open 3s or ten-footers you have to take them. in todays game his passing was almost nonexistent and terrible when he did attempt an assist along with poor shooting. however, none of his shots were bricks (unlike sasha who is building a house) except for one that was at the end of the shot clock and a turnaround fade-away. but he does need to cut to the basket more instead of patrolling the perimeter...i love seeing him get a quick pass under the basket and he just lays it in like that.

no....luke should keep shooting when he has the opportunity but does need to facilitate more

Luke's been playing pretty well lately. So I wont complain until it gets out of hand. But lately his shot has looked sharp.
"If you could stop all the players that get publicized and all the players that the NBA likes and all the players, you know, the players that win the MVP's, you know, for their offense. And some of them, you know, play pretty good defense too. But some of them, you know, they like "this guy he can shoot, he can score, he can dunk." and I want to be the one to stop all those guys, you know, and just kinda spoil the whole party." - Ron Artest

Isn't it better for him to be gaining more confidence? Better than having no confidence.

Agreed. I like the new Luke. His shot has been falling more often and I think the confidence is great. I don't want him jacking up Kobe-like shots over dudes, but shooting all those wide open jumpers like he's been doing is great.

I don't really know why Luke is drifting off 23 feet from the rim in the first place. He plays better posting up. He should mismatch with Lamar, and let Lamar come out and handle the ball a bit, since he drives better. Put Luke down low on a mismatch and let him go to work.

It's good that Luke is gaining confidence. He'll be able to make plays AND shoot the ball which is all in all a very good thing. Phil needs to do that with some of the other bench players because it'll help us tremendously come playoff time.
