Why do you guys care so much about what ESPN and their employees think?

You're right, best to ignore, but just gets old hearing the same old slants from Hollinger. LA number 3 in power rankings and now this crap. I guess it just gets old and so many people put so much stock in what those at BSPN say. I work for Yahoo and you would think according to some BSPN is same as heaven.

This guy almost makes Bill Simmons look like a saint.

Well at least Simmons admits to being a Celtic honk and makes no apologies for being one. Simmons is hilarious. Guarantee that if any one of us had a column we would bash the heck out of Pierce and his wheelchair or KG and his punk attitude lately. The only difference is Simmons is a crack up and I probably enjoy him more than any columnist ESPN has. We'd just be no talent, bitter bloggers.

Hollinger is just a fool with numbers. Its not that he hates Kobe. In fact, I'm not sure that he does. He just doesn't understand the game whatsoever.

On that note though, Lebron SHOULD be a slam dunk MVP. They are one game behind the Lakers in the loss column and if you were to take the 6 best players off of either squad, it would go Cav, Laker, Laker, Laker, Cav, Laker. Kobe's supporting cast is way better than Lebron's. Lebron is the better player.

"how the hell does this guy still have a job?"

Because what he has to say is interesting. The fact that people get hot like this is the very reason.

If he was purely honest and said "Lakers rule. The End" how many people would read that? Even we would get bored of that.

I think it will be a very close MVP vote. I think the lakers need to be about 5 games ahead of Cleveland in order for Kobe to win it because the Lakers are the superior team.

no but ive seen some of them and lebron's not as much a team player as kobe.

Kobe, 21 FGA/game
LeBron, 20 FGA/game

LeBron 7 assists/game
Kobe 5 assists/game

Nothing indicates that LeBron is more selfish than Kobe. Their FGA is essentially identical with Kobe shooting 1 more, and LeBron gets 2 more assists a game with an inferior squad, while Kobe has Gasol, a future HOFer and another top 10 MVP candidate next to him.

Pau Gasol

When he co-leads the Lakers to a few championships, he'll be a shoe in HOFer.
