LOS ANGELES - Even though he only has played in 10 games and not once has been placed in a pressure-packed situation, Lakers rookie Sun Yue said this season has been a great learning experience and he looks forward to the days ahead.

“I think when the opportunity comes, I will show that I can play in this league,” the 23-year old Sun said, prior to Thursday night’s game.

There was early speculation that Sun would be assigned to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers’ D-League affiliate. But Sun never embraced that option and while Lakers coach Phil Jackson initially believed a short assignment would have been beneficial, Jackson later felt that Sun would progress during Laker practice sessions.

Give him 2-3 years to learn the system and gain some confidence. We don't need him to play for at least another 2 years.

He's not going to play for a couple of years because Fisher and Farmar are going to get all the minutes at PG.

Bash Garbage Time Superstar. He only plays good in garbage time. <_<
