The old dog is learning some new tricks for the Los Angeles Lakers. Lamar Odom has become a more aggressive player and worked on the finesse parts of his game as well, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Odom is attacking the basket more but has also spend extra time working on his outside shot. Sunday Odom canned jumpers from 13 feet, 19 feet and 21 feet.
Odom is also moving better without the ball. His cuts to the basket have resulted in easy baskets down low and he has been curling off a screens to hit jump shots.
"That's something I couldn't do two seasons ago," he said. "I didn't know when to cut and how to make the play without the ball. Playing with Kobe [Bryant] and then playing with Pau [Gasol], and then Andrew [Bynum] started coming along, it's not like I'm going to be able to just take my man one on one. I've got to stay in the flow, and that's usually without the ball."
