Which would you prefer LA keep if they can only keep one or other after the season. A few weeks ago I think it was Ariza in a no brainer, but now Odom is making a case. I know salaries aren't the same so that aside do you prefer Odom or Ariza stays if only one can.

I would have to pick Odom. He's brings so much to the team and I wouldn't wanna face him.

Ariza is still a question mark to me. He looks good one game then below average the next game. He will end up being very good but not for a while.

Hands down Ariza. Odom is either ODamn or Odumb. I have seen Odumb too many times.

Odom easily. Better rebounder, better defender, more versatile. Odom is better than Ariza even with the inconsistencies.

There are many players like Ariza in the league. Athletic swings are a dime a dozen, and it's not hard to teach them to play defense.

dont even wanna think about either one of them not being here next season
they're 2 totally different players and can contribute to the team in different ways
with odom willing to take a paycut hopefully ariza will take the LA purple and gold over money
hard to say, but i dont think ariza would leave after finally finding a place where he fits. new york and orlando passed on a great player, hopefully ariza loves LA as much as we love him and his style of play

Odom, no questions asked. Once Odom has a taste of a ring, I'm sure he'll play like that, with a fire under his a$$. No one can match his versatility and overall skill-set for his size.

We'll resign both players, so no worries.

The final definitive test will be in the PO's when Bynum comes back and Odom must come off the bench. Well if Bynum comes back in time to start.

Odom.

You can always find another player to replace Ariza.

I love Trevor. My fav Laker next to Kobe... but I'd have to go with Odom. Without hesitation.
"If you could stop all the players that get publicized and all the players that the NBA likes and all the players, you know, the players that win the MVP's, you know, for their offense. And some of them, you know, play pretty good defense too. But some of them, you know, they like "this guy he can shoot, he can score, he can dunk." and I want to be the one to stop all those guys, you know, and just kinda spoil the whole party." - Ron Artest

Remove the last 10 games and maybe this answer gets a different response.

Not really.

Look at their whole careers, and you get the same response.

If I am Buss I am paying 5/30 for Ariza and Odom 5/35. Both could get more on the open market but if you want to be a laker then this is my offer.

Not really.

For some I think it is true.

i'd say odom. his versality and ability to step up is one of the biggest strengths to the lakers. he may be inconsistent but he fills in for every spot (pg-c). trevor hasnt shown enough yet

Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
