What has Chris done in the last 2 years?

Dacos can rebound and plays defense. Chris can't catch the ball, can't rebound, can't jump, and can't play defense. Mihm was playing because the Lakers were showcasing him to other teams, not because he's better than Dacos or Josh.

Mihm's trade value is just an expiring, not because of talent, so showing him off really serves no purpose. Even in the finals last year, Mihm, who hadn't played more than a few games, still suited up over Mbenga. Mbenga was a pick up out of complete desperation for a big man between Drew injury and the trade for Pau. He was re-signed because he was a cheap insurance policy in the event of a worst-case scenario. He's nothing more than a borderline d-league player.

remember when mihm was a 10 and 10 guy?
aside from the lux tax, this opens up another roster spot.

we'll see though i do think this was pure salary cutting

i think to myself where does ESPN get this stuff

LOL Mbenga is not better than Mihm. There's a reason why Mihm suited up and Mbenga didn't, and it isn't because he looks better.

You can't be serious after seeing that display last night. I feel sorry for Mihm because he worked his butt off to come back, but the guy is finished. You could have a tryout for LakersNation posters and replace Mihm and I am only half joking. The guy is done, finished as in no big deal. DJ may or may not be better than Mihm, I think he is, but I know Josh Powell is better than him.

Strange trade indeed if we don't plan on signing someone to fill that 15th salary spot. I mean, it doesn't save that much money since he's an expiring and despite what people think of Mbenga, he is not as good a player as Chris Mihm. Unless you think Phil and the rest of the Laker staff are morons, there's a reason Mihm ALWAYS suited up and Mbenga was wearing a suit.

Horry is a possibility I guess. I don't think PJ Brown is. I believe he is retired for good after getting his bling. Horry knows the triangle and can step right in and play. I honestly think he's the only guy we are thinking about signing.

don't waste your time with him. I don't think he honestly believes in 99% of the stuff he posts.

Yeah I mean good thing is board allows varying opinions, but as I said I honestly felt bad for Mihm last night. By all accounts, he is a good guy who worked hard and wanted to be a Laker, but my God he was so done last night. If DJ isn't better than him than LA wasted a contract on him that could have gone to a young player such as Joe Crawford or whomever. I hope Josh gets some of those minutes now too.

Wow, still bitter about being owned in the Shaq thread? LOL. Yea, you sure had a lot of support in that argument.

The fact that you think David Lee is a better defender than Shaq just shows you have zero bball IQ.

I didn't say he was valuable, but he's definitely more talented than Mbenga. He's almost 30, so yea, his game is on its downward slope. He could still be a viable backup if he can gain his confidence and rhythm, but I never said he was some great player. Powell is definitely better. He's tougher and has more range. Mbenga is nothing more than bench fodder. Like I said, we picked him up because we were very desperate. Last year, it was the tightest west race in the history of the NBA, and we had only Kwame and Ronny playing C. Before signing with us, the best Mbenga could get were 10 day contracts. He wasn't a free agent by choice, like PJ Brown. Nobody wanted him. It took a desperate team for him to finally get signed.

I know Vlad Rad and Mihm weren't major players but I am actually gonna miss these dudes.

Nonetheless, good luck to them as they should be getting much, much MORE Burn in their new teams

PEACE
