It is possible, given his work ethic. The guy always take care of himself during the off-season. When will he slow down during those 8 yrs is the only question.

The day Kobe leaves this game will be one of the saddest days of my life.

Even though this is just a game, I've been watching him from his very first game... I grew up watching Kobe grow... it's definitely more than just a "game" for me now.

No question about it.

I'll probably even shed a tear or two. Sort of like how fans cried when Magic announced his retirement. Kobe is our generation's Magic. It's a great thing to see a player's whole career from draft day to retirement.

IMO when Kobe becomes washed out, he'll still be like Ray Allen.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

Ugly?

Yeah, I agree. Even when Kobe is on his last legs, I'm sure he'll still be a feared scorer who can have a major impact on a team.

Then again, people weren't as educated on HIV and AIDS back then as they are now so everyone pretty much assumed Magic's days were numbered.

Magic doesn't have HIV/AIDS. He would have been long gone by now.

When Kobe is 37 he will be like MJ when he was 41. Productive but limited due to his athleticism mostly gone.

YOu are right he doesn't have aids. He has the aids virus.

AIDS isn't a virus. It's a syndrome caused by HIV.

Guys, 8 years is a loooooooot of time ! Enjoy Kobe while he's here. And I personally think that Kobe can play till he's 40 and above it maybe... You never know... It's Kobe :)
