You mention the Celtics D 5 or six times as though thats the best thing about the Celtics but guess what, they didnt bring it against the Lakers twice this year. No excuse for that. So your argument that their D will bring them down would have worked last year when they proved their D could beat the Lakers in the regular season, but its not working for them this time.

Oh, and they wont make it to the Finals, they were lucky to get past the Hawks last year, and they definitely wont beat the Cavs or Magic.

as much as i love the hawks right now, i honestly think it was luck (on the hawks side) that brought that matchup to 7 games. that trio won't slip up like that this year.

they'll get past the magic for sure with jameer nelson out.

the cavs are a different story. they can't just zero in on lebron with the way mo will has been shooting the lights out from beyond the arc. that'll be an interesting match up to watch.

and like MDI (and pretty much everybody who replied) said, the losses of posey (specially posey) and brown are huge. there's nobody on the bench who can come in and tire out kobe like posey did. and regardless of how well offensively the C's bench can be, they simply can't match the offensive firepower of the lakers bench.

and :offtopic:, but sorry for my earlier "let haters hate" remark.

Are you one of those desperate Clipper fans from AM570 forums? I remember those guys trying to bash the Lakers any chance they get while their own team was sitting at the bottom of the standings.

Yeah the Celtics have one more realistic shot at the finals. Maybe not winning it all, but c’mon, if you had the nerve to say the Lakers window hasn’t completely closed yet, then neither have the Pistons or the Caves.

Non-Lakers fans are welcome here as well. If you decide to attack them, remember that they are a member just as you are, and you'll be warned for it.

Thank you, no one says you have to be a Lakers fan. He makes great points too.

Lakers definitely have to step it up defensively in the POs, but Bynum will be back, and we will win it all.

Remember, we beat celtics and cavs playing their so call "defense" type game. Our offense stinks against the celts and the only decent game we got from the lakers vs cavs is from lamar. So saying their defense will beat us is a joke. What the lakers need is show that defense on a consistant basis including sub par teams that they know they will beat with their offense.

Actually, come playoffs/finals, regular season games are of NO RELATION. Sweep or no, it's the current task and gameplan at hand. Plus how they change their intensity for the current stage of the game during that phase is another issue.

with the 2nd game being in Boston, without Bynum. Give the team tremendous credit for that. But: 1) The Lakers needed that win more than Boston

Could you tell me,why?

The Celdic(k)s needed it more!

reason 1: They lost the christmas game against us

reason 2:they were home

And i dont think that its a good idea to post any good things about Boston :)
