If Lebron James was our SF all our problems would be solved

No Weak SF w/ No Outside Shot...

Funny Thing is that Lebron's Contract W/ the Cav's ENDS AFTER THIS SEASON!!

Another funny thing is that Lamar's Contract is almost EQUAL to Lebron's (Money Wise)

The Last Funny thing is that if we Had Lebron We Would Have Probably the longest lasting Dynasty in NBA History and Definately Beat the Bulls Season Record (If Some People Think we Could With This Years Lakers...)

Next season (2010), not this season.

Also, LeBron is not coming here. Not while we are paying for Kobe and probably not ever.

Never happening, but with the Olympics (and the warm-ups), I've had the opportunity to watch LeBron play more and more... and everytime he does something crazy, I just sit back and say "daaamn."

Yes, all our problems would be solved. But it would create two new problems:

1) Salary
2) 4 superstars on a team demanding the ball.

Basically, it's not going to work.

but lamar's and lebrons contracts are both around 14 or 11 mil (i forgot)... So if we just let him and another player go into free agency, why couldnt this happen?

Yeh, it might be like 2004 all over again except with probably better chemistry.

I'm no expert on money/contracts but for one, Lebron is only going to accept a max contract of around 20+ million and he might even get offers from Europe for twice as much..

Secondly, we have to pay Kobe, Bynum, and Gasol their very large contracts meaning we have no cap space to even come up with the money to sign Lebron...
My computer is broken so I'm not on as much...

It would rock for sure, guy is a truck when it comes to the paint. so i would love to have him but its never....never going to happen.

No chance.

And yea doesn't matter how much money he's making now, he's gonna sign for the MAX MAX MAX MAX MAX obviously.

He's gonna be in Brooklyn come 2010.

not likely.... i mean maybe 7 years down the line after Lebron gets his max contract and it is all payed out... but he is seeking a stage of his own, so it wont happen

Only way this could happen is if Kobe leaves the Lakers after 08-09 season for Europe or some other team and If the lakers decide not to re-up LO or if LO decides to go somewhere else after next season, knocking off 21 million plus 14 million of the Lakers payroll. If the Buss decides to keep the current payroll he would Max out Bynum next year and wait an additional year to be part of the Lebron and Wade lottery of the summer of 2010.

Imagine 2010-2011 our starting line-up

PG - Sun Yue 2 million
SG - The Machine 5 Million
SF - Lebron James 20 Million
PF - Pau Gssol - 17 Million
C - Andrew Bynum - 14 Million

Hopefully Kobe doesn't go but it seems more likely that Pau or Lamar would leave the team before Kobe ever does.

"Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael?" Rick Reilly

Bryant, who will be representing Team USA for the first time, told Gasol: "Being that we lost this series, you (guys) have no chance at a gold medal. I ain't goin' 0 for 2, homie."
