We need to trade him.

If Lakers trade Gasol, goodbye to Championship and you know that :)

But I´m sure a lot of Lakers fan would like to trade Pau for Yao, Dirk or Shaq...

Just look the news of the blog. Like 5-6 consecutive Kobe news and no any mention saying Pau did 14 points in the match.

At least Pau could be mentioned in the news but no.

Why are you comparing Pau to Kobe?

How many championships has Pau won? Pau didn't do crap before he joined the Lakers.

Why don't you e-mail the staff some articles so they can post them on the blog instead of just complaining?

I wasn´t comparing him to Kobe, but Lakers before Pau were [expletive]. With Pau, look the winning record. The day Pau gets injured, Lakers will feel it. And this season ultimately Pau has been better than Kobe and Bynum, the ''two only existing Lakers''.

I would trade him for Smush Parker.

You fail.

Ummmm....... they were actually very good for many years :D

But look, we all know Pau is a valuable part of this team. Its a team concept. Not one or two players. You Pau fans should know this from his Memphis days, where the grizzlies were crap.

you should apologize...the post is esentially about how underappreciated the member feels pau is, its a valid argument.

The reason is because pau is TimDuncan-boring. Simply put
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Yes, your compared him when you started talking about the blog, the all star team, and team USA vs. Spain. The Lakers won 3 championships before Pau got traded to the Lakers. How many playoff series and championships did Pau win with the Grizzlies? I guess you forgot the Lakers were 28-16 before Pau got traded here. How many games did he win with the Grizzlies 2 years ago?

Stop giving Pau all the credit for the winning record because the rest of the team is playing great. Kobe and Bynum are still more important to the Lakers than Gasol. :P

Pau doesn't really care about having the spotlight because he's a quiet guy. He gets the credit he deserves from the fans. Why are you upset at the fans?

You fail hard.

And you should know without Pau Lakers would never have reached NBA finals last year even having Kobe Bryant being on top-form in all his matches.

Can we conclude that Superstars or franchise players carrying the team by themselves are not likely to win a ring? Remember KG in Minesota? Now that he has two other star players with him, he finally won a ring. Heck, even MJ needed a Scottie Pippen to help him carry the load in Chicago.
After the Shaq trade, Kobe struggled when he didn't have a co-superstar here in LA. Pau Gasol also struggled to carry Memphis by himself. Only with the emergence of Bynum and the addition of a stable role-player in Fisher did our Lakers found some success is the first half of the season last year. Then we acquired Gasol after the horrific Bynum injury, and we all know that his presence immediately help our team.

Basketball is a team game. Superstars can lead their teams to winning, but they also need role players and another superstar to get their back. Shaq is the main star in the LA 2000-2002 championships, but he had the luxury of great role players and a dependable co-superstar in Kobe, who was clutch in the playoffs and the Finals whenever the Diesel fouled out.

Bryant and Gasol's impact on the Lakers' winning record are equal to me.

Weren't the Lakers first in the West even before they made the trade for Pau? If not first close to it.

Yeah, that's when Bynum started dominating.

Sure, Pau has brought an immense impact to our team, but if you think he's had a bigger impact then Kobe that's ridiculous.

Without Kobe, the Lakers have no chance at doing anything. Without Pau, the Lakers still have a shot at being something.

That's with Bynum as the co-MVP at the time, leading the Lakers on the defensive end.

Now with Bynum down, Pau is the Lakers co-MVP.

Read the article on Battier I posted in NBA forum. Pau's impact is not only in regards to statistics. Pau's impact is in regards to intelligence and setting up plays.

As we have seen, Pau averages 24 pts, 12 rebounds when Bynum is out. He's also led his team to the playoffs and 50 win season as the main guy as well.

You mean like when we kept getting beat by the Suns in the first round?

Pau's importance = Kobe's period. If you can't comprehend that, you don't understand the game of basketball.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.
