Looks like Beasely will be starting

PG Chalmers
SG Wade
SF Beseley
PF Haslem

Wow, that's a very good team. They won't win it all in the East, but it can possibly get them an upset round or two in the playoffs.

Beasly a starter is great ! ..for my fantasy team.

Shawn Marion should have stayed put in Phoenix.

Well it really doesn't matter to us, if its a bad trade for them, I guess we just have to take advantage.

Funny how Marion became irrelevant since leaving Nash and co.

I think this one is a good trade for the Heat.

They got the center they're looking for in JO and Moon is a big bonus.

Raptors See Shawn Marion As More Than A Rental Player

Posted Image

Even though Shawn Marion's contract expires at the end of this season, the Raptors see their newest acquisition as more than a rental player, the Toronto Star is reporting.

"Shawn is a piece that should be given an opportunity to fit in with the team," GM Bryan Colangelo said in a conference call last night. "He's not necessarily a rental player. That's not necessarily the case."

Colangelo is acutely aware of his abilities: Marion spent the first nine years of his career with Colangelo and Phoenix.

"Shawn could be a valuable piece with this team in this system," said Colangelo.

"He (Marion) is one of the better rebounding small forwards in the league when he's at that position," added Colangelo. "At the end of the day, I think you're going to see better flow (with Toronto's offence)."

heat don't even need JO to play honestly

they've been pretty decent thus far..WITHOUT a center..and they won a lot of games WITHOUT marion...this deal was made probably part short-term but mostly long term for 2010

the heat did a great dela for themselves, they get a pretty decent center, yeah hes injury prone but like others have been saying theyve been playing well without a center or marion for that matter, the raptors get an athletic swingman that plays good D and doesnt clog the paint like JO did for bosh
