Worth the risk. The Heat get a defensive C with a huge expiring contract next year if it doesn't work out, plus a decent bench guy.

Toronto gets Marion on rental and a huge expiring contract to bring in help for Bosh and Calderon this summer.

A bad trade for both teams.

i think good for heat and terrible for raptors

clearing cap for the raptors means nothing because they'll never get free agents

but for the heat it means

JO
haslem
beasley
wade
chalmers

thats not too bad actually this probably assures them of a shot at the playoffs

The Heat can enjoy the next 5 games that O'neal plays in.

finally..heat get a center....all their centers do is either just block shots (joel anthony) or just stand there and grab 5 rebs each (magloire, blount)...now they got a scorer..shot blocker AND rebounder...and jamario moon is just an added bonus..i think he fits in nicely with the system

AND...bout time beasley gets his startin position back!

Great deal for the Heat. They get rid of that whiner in Marion and get a defensive center as well as a nice defensive swing. Getting rid of Banks is a huge plus as well. And now Beasely starts or at least gets more playing time.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

Looks like Beasely will be starting

PG Chalmers
SG Wade
SF Beseley
PF Haslem
C JO

Wow, that's a very good team. They won't win it all in the East, but it can possibly get them an upset round or two in the playoffs.

exactly what people don't get is while JO is half the offensive player he once was hes still an ELITE shot blocker and a very good defender in the post

so add that to a very good defensive backcourt with wade and chalmers to a very good defensive frontcourt in haslem and o'neal, beasley isn't bad but not good either

thats 4 very solid to good defenders in the starting line-up

then offensively you have a guy who you can throw the ball to an he can face up or go on the block and put up 15 to 17 points a night something they didn't have

so add all that together plus jemarrio moon adding some nice depth they got a pretty good team

i'm calling it right now

the heat will upset the orlando magic in round 1 its destined

^ If that indeed happened. I wouldn't necessarily call it an upset anymore, not with the Magic without Jameer Nelson of course.

i would because the orlando magic insisted on being talked about with the elite

and with that comes a price and that price is everyone has injuries but the real contenders are able to fight through them

if orlando can't fight through the injury i guess they weren't much of a contender to begin with

san antonio didn't have ginobili or parker for much of the season but they didn't complain and we will not have bynum for 7 more weeks we complain but the players aren't complaining, and cleveland has played a lot without zydrunas and delonte west and they are still a contender.

my point is if they want to consider themselves a contender they have to weather the storms

and since they believe they are a contender the miami heat beating them would be an upset but as you and i both know its not as much an upset as it would have been a month ago

but i actually think this new miami team could beat orlando even with a healthy nelson
