p4p, you forgot to add the poll. ;)

Yes. Why wouldn't you want Shaq back? Find me another forward/center that can do what Shaq does for the MLE.

Only if Bynum approves and doesn't lose his confidence.

If he's willing to take something around the vet min, then you'd be stupid not to.

He's not coming back. We already got Drew to go with Pau & Odom (don't forget Powell).

We still need a back up center. Do you want Mihm playing?

I don't think that's a great idea for our team chemistry :shifty:

UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITION, YES:

Lakers win Championship THIS season, with Kobe as FINALS MVP and Andrew playing VITAL role in the playoffs.

I want to establish TWO things before Snaq is back. Kobe LEADS his own team to the championship trophy and Bynum is the unquestioned STARTING CENTER.

If those two things are set in stone, then yes I would love to have Snaq in there as a BACKUP center.

I'd be happy to take Phoenix's medical staff any day of the week. They're known for the many 'miracles' they pull.

Anyway, on Shaq, no, not even for cheap, at least not now. Kobe's gotta' win at least a ring or more without him first. Then again, by that time, it might to be too late as Shaq will be TOO old, but who knows?

no. he would just want to come back and take credit for LA's success. It is pretty obvious by his statements right now that his fat butt needs LA a lot more than they need him.

Without a second doubt in my mind, yes. You'd be crazy not to.

Again, with this stupid Kobe vs Shaq thing. Who cares? Do you care more about Kobe than the Lakers? If so, I see where you are coming from. If not, then you get the best players to help you win a title.

^ We can win a title without Shaq. In fact, we might be better suited actually without Shaq, especially at this point. Sure, he could possibly help some, but perhaps not dramatically. Bottomline is, it's not just about Kobe, it is about the Lakers and although you are not of the same opinion, MANY, MANY great Laker fans of all kinds want Kobe and the Laker organization to win one without Shaq. Imo, in a way, it would make for some long time should've been made already justice. Plus, naturally, a lot of Laker fans, not just Kobe fans, DO care to some extent about Kobe's legacy and a lot of us are cheering for him to win at least one without Shaq. It's not that personal, it's just more about how Kobe will be viewed in his overall legacy when it's all said and done.

I cheer for Kobe to win titles too, but I care more about the Lakers winning titles. Kobe's legacy? He is cemented as the second greatest SG of all-time, and will never move up or down on that list. All I care about is the name on the FRONT of the jersey. If we had Chucky Atkins back, I'd be cheering for him. And Shaq's gonna hurt this teams chances at winning? Yeah, right.

Well I doubt we'll trade for Shaq, so realistically, his best chance of coming here is in 2010. If Kobe doesn't win at least 1 of the next 2 championships, then too [expletive]ing bad for him and his attempts to win one without Shaq.

And Shaq's gonna hurt this teams chances at winning? Yeah, right.

Listen Mando, realistically. There's no way in HELL we are trading for Shaq and especially his $20 million contract. Now the MLE, we would be dumb not to consider it, but that's not gonna' happen right now is it? So that's the bottomline. We are just wasting time talking about this right now. After his current contract expires, then we can talk about this potential possibility a lot more seriously.
