"The Lakers don't intimidate us at all," he said. "In the West it's going to come down to whoever stays the healthiest and gets hot at the right time."

That's fine Cuban. We know you have to tell your team that.

But the fact is, you would trade your entire team for Kobe and Gasol if we proposed that trade to you.

We'll see you March 15th when we spank the Mavs for a third time.

*yawn*

Your guys lost their mojo since Wade and co. spanked you in '06... When your best player was getting shutdown by the likes of Matt Barnes, that is a huge problem...

Are Mark Cuban's comments actually relevant right now? He's just trying to take a page out of Shaq's book and get some ink.

Cuban is upset because in all of these years of over-reacting and making stupid trades in order to be able to better compete with the Lakers, he has still never played the Lakers in the play-offs.

Cuban has always had the Lakers on the brain, and yet come play-off time, his biggest problem was typically the Spurs, and then mighty Golden State.

Maybe he'll get lucky this year and get us in the first round. I'm sure he's telling Rick Carlisle to aim for the #8 seed.

Don't forget - Mavs ALWAYS play us tough.

But now with Terry out I wonder if they'll stay afloat. We'll see Mr. Cuban.

Dallas would get crushed in a playoff series against us. They have nobody to stop Gasol or Bynum, and it's a possibility that Kobe can still outscore that team by himself.

What do you guys expect him to say? "We're terrified of the Lakers. I'm praying we don't face them in the playoffs."

Come on now - it's the exact same reason George Karl came out and said we're not the favorites or whatever to get to the Finals. He's just trying to build up his team's confidence.

The Mavs aren't even a lock to make the playoffs. They're only 2 1/2 games in front the 9th seed, and losing Terry for the season is HUGE.
