I've seen some Rads miss stuff before LOL, but I'm pretty sure there have been a TON of M.D.'s that have looked at the images already.

They are best at confirming a diagnosis, rule out something worse or spot abnormalities.

Since there was undoubtably a physical exam, if they combine the results of that exam and the image, it would be pretty hard to miss a complete tear...hard, but not impossible. And like you said, I'm sure more than one person has looked at the image.

it's all relative - yes it was worse than expected from when it happened to the resulting MRI. The hope was it'd be about a month. Then they see it was torn, etc - so it's closer to 8-12 weeks.

But it's not worse than 8-12 weeks - in fact everyone is hoping it's closer to 8

Weren't they kinda foolish to establish any type of expectation before confirming the severity? Doesn't make sense to make ANY prognosis/diagnosis before then, no?

The most a physical exam can do is rule out complete tears and assess stability and pain. It can identify which ligament is injured but not accurately identify to what extent. Precision require precision instruments...

Glad you're here...

Hope is never bad. I was under the impression that they had a return date in mind before they did any imaging...is that incorrect?

OT - Lmao, true story, I made the member name Eric Pincus for a while at the ESPN boards, specifically mostly posting on the Laker ESPN board and most of the Laker fans actually thought I was actually emplay. Haha. That wasn't really my intention necessarily to begin with, but I guess it came with it's territory, especially when I would break some inside so to speak information first there, they'd be like damn, this guy really is emplay, that's crazy! Haha, sorry emplay, unintentional.

Thanks Emplay. Figured as much after I thought about it with no one else reporting that is was worse than expected. As usual, misleading statement by BSPN to get attention to a column
