Thanks guys!

Also, let's say that things work out incredibly well with Morrison. You're now looking at Mitch building the team up for the future while maintaining the integrity and depth of the team for the now.

In the post-Kobe era a burgeoning lineup of:

C - Bynum
PF - Gasol (not as old as everyone thinks he is sometimes)
SF - Ariza / Morrison
SG - Mayo (it will happen, believe me)
PG - Farmar

Not too bad.

Anyway, back to the topic...

DUDE, man, i have that feeling too!

i always talk about this with my friend, we're gonna get somebody BIG to replace kobe no doubt, if not OJ i'll settle for the quickly developing 2 guard cross town (eric gordon).

morrison is going to benefit enormously from being around kobe and playing with him

being on the floor with kobe, gasol, bynum is going to do wonders for his game

good passer, great shooter, decent ball handler, smart, competitive

fits right in

YES PLEASE! I can't believe NOBODY, not one person on any of the laker fan sites has done this yet, pretty incredible.

If anyone has already seen one or found one, or is gonna' make one, please post it ASAP!

Even though I think Morrison wont contribute here, there is a lot of potential for him.

He was the 3rd pick by the Bobcats.

He played 78 games as a rookie and averaged close to 12 points a game.

He missed the entire 07-08 season when Luke Walton broke him down in a preseason game, literally. (Tore his ACL)

He is coming back this season and is averaging only 15 minutes a game.

His production is down, but possibly playing with Lakers could make him raise his game. At Gonzaga, he lead the nation in 05-06 in scoring at 28.1 points per. So the guy is a scorer.

We can only wait and see what will come of this. So don't expect much out of him but at the same time don't be surprised if he turns into a decent role player.

Bryant offered this comment about Morrison’s past failures:

“All that doesn’t matter, though. You come in this system, with the group of guys that we have here, and we tend to bring out the best in guys."

Not a bad deal, as fido said.

I expect more out of Shannon Brown than Morrison.

Next step? Get a back up PF/C worth a darn. My preferences don't count so I won't even bore you with them.

I have no clue why everybody thinks Shannon Brown is better than Morrison. Morrison's skillset completely matches the triangle. Moving without the ball, shooting quick, and quick passes. The problem in Charlotte with him was they expected him to be Kobe...making plays as well as shooting. He's not a play maker, he's a pure 2guard of the Hamilton mold.

If he were to work with Kobe, I guarantee you guys that his shot improves, and the fact that he'll now have open shots due to double teaming of Gasol and Kobe.
Gooden>> Lamar Odom. Mo Williams>> Ray Allen>> Gasol. Nene= Gasol.

Truth? That describes Vlad Rad also. Same skillset.

What can Brown do for us? Defense...another guy who can let Kobe roam while being fresh for the other end of the court.

But before people start over-rating either player, let's wait til they actually play a game...Morrison is likely to play before Brown, simply because his shooting is easier to integrate into the offense than Brown's slashing, imho.
