Interesting - neither will get PT (much like Radmanovic after he was taken out of the starting lineup).

Things I Hate about the Charlotte Bobcats:
1. Raja Bell
2. How Fat Sean May is
3. Adam Morrison's mustache
4. Rufus
5. Boris Diaw

Here is my take:

Morrison expires in 2010 which makes him easier to deal than Vlad would have been. Shannon expires after this year.

In terms of cap hit, the deal decreases out commitment next year by about $1.2 million. We’ll still have 8 guaranteed contracts and roughly between $10-12 million to work with in order to sign some combination of LO/Ariza/DJ/Powell/Sun/Mihm/Shannon, or own picks, and other teams’ free agents.

Does Adam Morrison's contract even expire after this season?

According to RealGM he is a restricted free agent in summer of 2009.

i was saying it wont happen

but your reasoning is off on the simple fact if you have the oppurtunity to trade lamar for amare you do it plain and simple

but since thats not a possibility the point is well not a point

2 year deal but restricted free agent this year meaning hes essentially an expiring

http://hoopshype.com...s/charlotte.htm
it says not until 2010 for adam morrison

By the way, Brown is athletic but needs to increase his IQ.

Morrison never got it going - I'd like to see him have a chance here to develop.

I don't know about anyone else, but i LOVE this trade. Im going to miss Vlad but I think this a good deal for the lakers. Now lets see how what Boston and Cleavend do, caus they will probably both make moves.

maybe they feel adam will see his potential playing with guys like kobe, gasol, bynum instead of felton, okafor

maybe they feel he is a perfect fit for the triangle

all i know is one thing the guy needed a change of scenery from the cellars to the lakers and also he has a good competitive nature which is one thing vlad didn't have

and maybe working with kobe is the kind of jump he needed

i'm beggining to like the trade

as some of our fellow posters have noted, his contract is easier to deal with than vlads

also

now we have another sniper...that leaves Sasha with a shorter leash when he starts jackin up bricks

and all you mustache haters make me sick.....i'm gonna drop a request to Vaporize to make me a sig of morrison's upper lip

yeah but so could james white and the guys not even in the league anymore

but i see where you are coming from but adam was a top 3 pick who went to charlotte averaged 11ppg in his rookie year and started to shoot the ball better but then tore his knee in preseason against us

maybe the change of scenery gives him to jump he needed

It's weird, but I'll actually miss Radmanovic on this team. I always liked the guy and was always rooting for him - I hope he does well in Charlotte.

Anyway, like most of you said, this looks like it's specifically for cap relief, and if that's going to help us get Odom & Ariza back, then I'm happy.
