yes 2 possible things happened with this deal

1 like nissan said we could possibly resign both odom and ariza

2 we have up to 17 million in expirings and a promising young player in adam morrison to offer as trade bait

either way good deal

I agree with Heir. The catch was Shannon Brown. Big guard who can defend which is what the Lakers need.

But the more I think of it, this is a cap relief move so we can resign Odom and Ariza after this season.

Too bad we didn't make this trade last week or something.

I would've LOOOOOOOOVED to see Phil put Brown on LeBron tomorrow.

hes too short hes only 6"4' i believe lebron would have just shot over him

God dammit, Morrisons mustache was on my top five hated list when we played the Bobcats haha

haha I can't stand the stache. lol But if he gives us some good production while he's out there, I can accept it for a year. haha

okay i am going to nip something in the bud right now

this is not a play for amare

i am not an insider but it doesn't take an insider to know pheonix would never trade amar to us unless pau, kobe, or bynum were on the way back

its just not happening they will not mail us a trophy like memphis mailed us a finals appearance

thank god he chopped off that pony tail haircut he had hahaha

yeah i would have hated that

Aren't you guys overrating Browns defense just a tad bit?

I dunno since I've never watched him play....

Hopefully the Morrison experiment does not fail like Kwame did.

he has the fresh new car smell

he was a decent defender in college but if he was half the defender everyone on here is making him out to be then he would have been able to find time over sasha pavlovic or when he was in seattle last season he couldn't even get off the bench

He's got the strength tho. Plus he used to play with Cleveland so he probably knows LeBron's game well.

And trading for Stoudemire would be dumb. Where would he fit in?

You already know he's not gonna wanna come off the bench, Bynum is at a critical stage in his development and it's obvious he's shooting for the stars, and Pau has played too effectively for us to put him on the bench. He's been the most consistent player on our team so far, so he really doesn't even deserve to come off the bench.

Don't just say "ooo! I want Amare!"

Look at what we're working with first and if it would work.

it really can't

kwame was meant to hoppefully become THE guy at center for us

adam is going to ride the bench and learn the offense if hes in the future plans he'll stay if not he'll go

2 different scenarios

How would you know if we're overrating his defense if you've never seen him play?
That's like calling a girl ugly who you've never seen.

i was saying it wont happen

but your reasoning is off on the simple fact if you have the oppurtunity to trade lamar for amare you do it plain and simple

but since thats not a possibility the point is well not a point

morrison still has like 3 year on his contract and shannon is expiring

2 year deal but restricted free agent this year meaning hes essentially an expiring
