Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak has denied a rumor that the team is entertaining the idea of trading Lamar Odom to the Kings for center Brad Miller.

The report originally popped up in the Sacramento Bee.

"I hope not," Odom said about the possibility of a trade. "I want to be a Laker for the rest of my life. I'm a rock star. I can't help it. Some people want me to go, some people want me to stay.

"I want to stay. I love L.A. I'm done moving around. I've been in L.A. since 1999. Why would I want to go anywhere else? And I want to win the big one. Why not? You're playing, you might as well want to win, right? I've lost plenty. It's time to win.

"Then I'll sail off to the sunset one day on my white horse."

good that wouldn't be a good trade for LA. The one if he was healthy I would trade Lamar for is Jermaine O'Neal but too risky due to injuries

That might not be too bad of an idea.

It's obvious Phil is going to play Mbenga or Mihm, so it would be nice to actually have a back up center.

We know Brad Miller will give hard fouls.

I would have loved to have had Brad Miller against the Smeltics int he Finals. Best believe he would have hacked Rondo and those guys.

Odom will stay. There is only one trade being discussed that I would do.

Hopefully, it never sees the daylight of the public.

I hope Odom gets into more arguments/altercations because those are the things that wakes him up.

Maybe JA is on to something... hmm... ;)

Miked Los Angeles, CA: Would suns even think abuot trading Amare for Lamar, it would help the suns because Lamar is pass first and uptempo kind of player also his expiring contract. Although I dont think the Suns woudl want to trade Amare to a Division Rival. BUt the Trade works on Trade Machine.

SportsNation J.A. Adande: One thing I was told by a Suns source was that moves would not be made for competitive reasons, it's financial. So if you're not making competition a priority, it doesn't matter which team you're improving or where they play.
