When Kobe is forcing up shots with a hand in his face, just barely hitting the rim, it kills me inside. How many times did he do that? about 5-10 times. This is why people still call him a "ball hog". He tries to save the game for the team when he knows he is in ice water, or when he is locked down.

Fisher, he got blocked twice on a fastbreak...nuff said.

Sasha Vujacic couldn't do anything except stand around.

Also, 17-29 Free throws? If they made 85% (percent C's shot) of the free throws, they would have made 25 free throws, 8 extra points. It shouldn't have been this close.

I believe kobe read the D, even though it covered him numerous shots, we know he still can hit those. True I agree I died alil when his shots missed, but it's something we have to live with. I believed in him, and overall team D, win or lose, we believe.

kobe did force shots, but i think in some of them he was fouled....besides all that he had 10 rebounds and 5 assissts. he made the 3s when they counted and that's the important thing.

he was 4 of 8 from 3 and all of them in crunch time, without those they wouldn't have made it to over time. and also he made the last stop in regulation.

Read the D? any specific examples? I didn't see that.

Wow how much difference would that make, 3-4 shots. In this kind of game they won't call ticky tack fouls, unless it's getting out of hand.

if you read my first post here, i didn't say it was the best game of the year. go back and read it.

i said it was an awful game, they played horrible, it might be the best win because they played so poorly.

"Ugly" is how we're going to beat them.

They didn't I copied the link twice, and I am to lazy to fix it.

And leor, why do you want to blast Odom?

Look at the thread title. Were not saying that were not enjoying the win, we just think it wasn't the best game of the year, that's all.

"Ugly" is how we're going to beat them.

Well of course, if you mean physical. But I meant ugly by the mistakes the Lakers made. 54% FT shooting, Fisher, Walton and Bryant combined for 17-47 shooting. That's great shooting for 3 starters. I can tell you this, that If Lakers play like this in Cleveland, or play like that in Boston again, expect another 30 point loss.

Can negate my comment...but we may not see what's in front of Kobe at the time...=/

Maybe Kobe can make the shot, but it's like a wild shot and we get that kind of arguments....like the 2 missed 3s I think? I forgot...

how bout LO tonight?

dude played with fire. I wish he could play like this every night

Actually we do.

AND YET WE FOUND OTHER WAYS TO BEAT THEM

you win games in blowouts, and sometimes you win em ugly. We were down 8 i think during the 4th and yet we came back on them, thats resiliency.

That's real talk. You can't expect the team to play a flawless game against Boston, the world champs. If it were the Grizzlies then frustration would be understandable, but both teams are pretty even in executing their respective game plans. Plus we were without Bynum. His presence would've made a huge difference in a game like this.

LO redeemed himself appropriately, can't say we hate him for what he did in the first half in any way.

Shooting 17-29 from the Free Throw line is FAR from flawless.
Kobe forcing shots and shooting 10-29 and getting only 5 assists is far from flawless. Kobe knew he was cold and he continued to shoot.

I would think that the Lakers would need to have played flawless or close to thereof to have this game deemed as the "Best game of the year"

If Lakers were the ones who lost by 1, everyone would be saying the complete opposite of what they are saying now.

Lakers went up by 9 in the second quarter of the game and in after a couple minutes in the 3rd they were down 8. That is resiliency too.

Bottom line, this is far from being our best game of the year, let alone the best game overall.
